Exploring Dipolar Dynamics and Ionic Transport in Metal‐Organic Frameworks: Experimental and Theoretical Insights

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, the interplay of dipolar dynamics and ionic charge transport in MOF compounds is investigated. Synthesizing the novel structure CFA‐25 with integrated freely rotating dipolar groups, local and macroscopic effects, including interactions with Cs cations are explored.

Seamlessly fused digital-analogue reconfigurable computing using memristors

open access: yesNature Communications, 2018
Conventional analogue and digital circuits are mixed at signal level yet remain technologically separate, adding complexity and cost. This work introduces a new design paradigm where the analogue and digital worlds are seamlessly fused via memristors ...

Analogue circuits for low power communication

open access: yes, 2010
Low power electronic circuits are required to extend the operational time of battery operated devices. They are also necessary to reduce the power consumption of equipment in general, especially as the world tries to cut energy usage. The first section of this thesis explores fundamental and implementation limits for low power circuits.

Direct Ink Writing of Conductive Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review examines the use of direct ink writing (DIW) for fabricating conductive hydrogels with customizable 3D structures. It outlines the rheological requirements for successful DIW, followed by an exploration of the materials and ink formulations used to impart electronic and/or ionic conductivity to hydrogels while maintaining printability ...

Four-junction superconducting circuit [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Reports 6, 28622 (2016), 2016
We develop a theory for the quantum circuit consisting of a superconducting loop interrupted by four Josephson junctions and pierced by a magnetic flux (either static or time-dependent). In addition to the similarity with the typical three-junction flux qubit in the double-well regime, we demonstrate the difference of the four-junction circuit from its

Benchtop Fabrication and Integration of Laser‐Induced Graphene Strain Gauges and Stimulation Electrodes in Muscle on a Chip Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 35, Issue 13, March 25, 2025.
Laser‐induced graphene (LIG) is patterned on polyimide films and then transferred into thin layers of polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS), resulting in flexible and stretchable conductive LIG‐PDMS constructs that are stable under repeated deformation and incubation in buffer. LIG‐PDMS is integrated into Muscle on a Chip devices and deployed as miniature strain

An Analogue VLSI Implementation of the Meddis Inner Hair Cell Model

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing, 2003
The Meddis inner hair cell model is a widely accepted, but computationally intensive computer model of mammalian inner hair cell function. We have produced an analogue VLSI implementation of this model that operates in real time in the current domain by
