Hechler's Theorem for tall analytic P-ideals

open access: yesThe Journal of Symbolic Logic, 2011
AbstractWe prove the following version of Hechler's classical theorem: For each partially ordered set (Q, ≤) with the property that every countable subset of Q has a strict upper bound in Q, there is a ccc forcing notion such that in the generic extension for each tall analytic P-ideal (coded in the ground model) a cofinal subset of is order ...

On the depth of blowup algebras of ideals with analytic deviation one [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
Let I be an ideal in a local Cohen-Macaulay ring (A, m). Assume I to be generically a complete intersection of positive height. We compute the depth of the Rees algebra and the form ring of I when the analytic deviation of I equals one and its reduction ...

Chameleon sequences reveal structural effects in proteins representing micelle‐like distribution of hydrophobicity

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Amino acids sequence of two different proteins with the same sequence (chameleon sequence—black boxes) represent in 3D structure of the proteins different secondary structures: HHHH—helical and BBB—Beta‐structural. The chains folded in water environment adopt different III‐order structures in which the chameleon fragments appear to adopt similar status

YlmG1 is localized exclusively to the chloroplast envelope membrane and is involved in preprotein translocation in Arabidopsis thaliana

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Cytosolically synthesized chloroplast preproteins are translocated across the outer and inner envelope membranes through translocons called TOC and TIC, respectively. In green algae and plants, the TIC core is composed of essential membrane proteins, Tic12, Tic20, and Tic214.

Center conditions and limit cycles for BiLienard systems

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2017
In this article we study the center problem for polynomial BiLienard systems of degree n. Computing the focal values and using Grobner bases we find the center conditions for such systems for n=6.

Enrolling the child in private early childhood education and care in the context of universal service provision

open access: yesEducation Inquiry
Finland has traditionally had a universal early childhood education and care (ECEC) system like the other Nordic countries, but in the last 15 years this system has undergone considerable marketisation and privatisation suggested to enable parental ...

Decreased cold‐sensing function of the transient receptor potential channel TRPM8 from tailed amphibians

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Despite frogs avoiding low temperatures, examination of four salamander species revealed that none avoided cold and all possessed cold tolerance. Functional analysis of TRPM8, a cold sensor, showed that all salamander TRPM8s had lost their cold sensitivity.

ON DECRIPTIONS OF CLOSED IDEALS OF ANALYTIC AREA NEVANLINNA TYPE CLASSES IN A CIRCULAR RING ON A COMPLEX PLANE C

open access: yesПроблемы анализа, 2012
We define certain new large area Nevanlinna type spaces in circular ring K on a complex plane and provide complete decriptions of ideals of these new scales of spaces. Our results extend some previously known assertions.

Notes on Number Theory

open access: yesMathematics
This paper presents a set of survey-style notes linking core themes of pure algebra with central topics in algebraic and analytic number theory. We begin with finite extensions of Q and describe algebraic number fields through their realization as finite-
