Analyticity of thermo-elastic semigroups with coupled hinged/Neumann B.C.

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 1998
We consider a thermo-elastic plate system where the elastic equation does not account for rotational forces. We select the case of hinged mechanical B.C. and Neumann thermal B.C., which are coupled on the boundary.

Criteria for Analyticity of Multidimensionally Subordinated Semigroups

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Sciences
Let $ψ$ be a Bernstein function in one variable. A.~Carasso and T.~Kato obtained necessary and sufficient conditions for $ψ$ to have a property that $ψ(A)$ generates a quasibounded holomorphic semigroup for every generator $A$ of a bounded $C_0$-semigroup in a Banach space and deduced necessary conditions as well.

The Algebraic Decay Behavior of Weak Solutions to the Magnetohydrodynamic Equations in Unbounded Domains

open access: yesMathematics
This paper investigates the long-term asymptotic behavior of solutions to the initial-boundary value problem for the three-dimensional incompressible viscous magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) equations in general unbounded domains. Addressing the difficulty that

Analytic Feller Semigroups Via Hypergeometric Series

open access: yes, 2014
Degenerate differential operators with Wentzell boundary conditions are proved to generate analytic semigroups in the space of continuous functions on [0,1] using hypergeometric series.

Sinclair Homomorphisms and Semigroups of Analytic Functions

open access: yesJournal of Functional Analysis, 1997
The author studies homomorphisms from the convolution algebra \(L^1(\mathbb{R}^+)\) into certain Banach algebras of functions on the closed unit disc \(\mathbb{D}\). It is shown that for the algebra \(A^+\) of absolutely convergent Taylor series on \(\mathbb{D}\), every homomorphism \(\Phi\) is of the form \(\Phi(h)= \int^\infty_0 h(t)\nu^t dt ...

Fractional Evolution Equation with Nonlocal Multi-Point Condition: Application to Fractional Ginzburg–Landau Equation

open access: yesAxioms
This paper is devoted to studying the existence and uniqueness of mild solutions for semilinear fractional evolution equations with the Hilfer–Katugampola fractional derivative and under the nonlocal multi-point condition.
