Degenerate differential operators with Wentzell boundary conditions are proved to generate analytic semigroups in the space of continuous functions on [0,1] using hypergeometric series.

Summary: We show that degenerate elliptic operators of Hörmander type realized in \(\mathbb{R}^n\) generate analytic semigroups in proper Sobolev spaces and we characterize some real interpolation spaces related to the original problem.
