CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Dirichlet series as interfering probability amplitudes for quantum measurements

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2015
We show that all Dirichlet series, linear combinations of them and their analytical continuations represent probability amplitudes for measurements on time-dependent quantum systems.

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

New approach to the fractional derivatives

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2003
We introduce a new approach to the fractional derivatives of the analytical functions using the Taylor series of the functions. In order to calculate the fractional derivatives of f, it is not sufficient to know the Taylor expansion of f, but we should ...

The analytic continuation of the discrete series. II [PDF]

open access: yesTransactions of the American Mathematical Society, 1979
This is the second in a series of papers on the analytic continuation of the holomorphic discrete series. In this paper necessary and sufficient conditions for unitarizability are given in the case of line bundles. The foundations for the vector valued case are begun.

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Spectral continuation study of the temporally periodic solitons of the damped-driven nonlinear Schrödinger equations

open access: yes, 2012
Includes abstract.Includes bibliographical references. In this thesis we develop and employ a spectral continuation algorithm, implemented in AUTO, to study the temporally periodic spatially localised soliton solutions of the driven, damped nonlinear ...

Self gravitating spinning string condensates

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
In the context of the black hole/string transition, it is useful to produce Euclidean string backgrounds representing hot and self-gravitating strings.

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Direct Kinematics Solution of 3-RCC Parallel Robot using a Semi-Analytical Homotopy Method [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Advanced Design and Manufacturing Technology, 2019
Parallel robots are closed-loop mechanisms presenting very good performances in terms of accuracy, rigidity, and the ability to manipulate large loads. Inverse kinematics problem for most parallel robots is straightforward, while the direct kinematics is
