Analytical solutions of bound timelike geodesic orbits in Kerr spacetime
We derive the analytical solutions of the bound timelike geodesic orbits in Kerr spacetime. The analytical solutions are expressed in terms of the elliptic integrals using Mino time $\lambda$ as the independent variable.

Variational analysis of self-focusing of intense ultrashort pulses in gases [PDF]
By using perturbation theory we derive an expression for the electrical field of a Gaussian laser pulse propagating in a gas medium. This expression is used as a trial solution in a variational method to get quasianalytical solutions for the width ...

Analytical Expression for Low-dimensional Resonance Island in 4-dimensional Symplectic Map
We study a 2- and a 4-dimensional nearly integrable symplectic maps using a singular perturbation method. Resonance island structures in the 2- and 4- dimensional maps are successfully obtained.

Hyperradiance from Soliton Oscillators Synchronized by Capacitive or Inducitve Coupling [PDF]
The output power from coupled Josephson oscillators is investigated when the junctions are operated in their single fluxon mode. We demonstrate that both inductive and capacitive coupling mechanisms can give rise to hyperradiance when the power is ...

Innermost stable circular orbits around magnetized rotating massive stars
In 1998, Shibata and Sasaki [Phys. Rev. D 58, 104011 (1998)] presented an approximate analytical formula for the radius of the innermost stable circular orbit (ISCO) of a neutral test particle around a massive, rotating and deformed source.

ESTIMATIONS OF HEAT CAPACITIES FOR ACTINIDE DIOXIDE: UO2, NpO2, ThO2, AND PuO2
The evaluation of thermal properties of actinide oxide fuels is a problem of high importance for the development of new generation reactors. In the present study, an expression obtained for n-dimensional Debye functions is used to derive a simple ...

Optimal entanglement generation in cavity QED with dissipation
We investigate a two-level atom coupled to a cavity with a strong classical driving field in a dissipative environment and find an analytical expression of the time evolution density matrix for the system.

Polaron Energy Spectrum in Quantum Dots
Energy spectrum of a weak coupling polaron is considered in a cylindrical quantum dot. An analytical expression for the polaron energy shift is obtained using a modified pertubation theory.Comment: 7 pages, IOP style LaTeX ...

In this paper, we derive an analytical expression for the exact pairwise error probability (PEP) of a space-time coded system operating over a spatially correlated slow fading channel using a moment-generating function-based approach.
