The Mean Value Form for Complex Analytic Functions

Computing, 2001
The mean value form for computing the bounds on the range of a function over an interval has been studied for real functions only so far, with a few exceptions concerning several particular complex functions. In this paper a mean value form is developed for a general complex analytic function in either rectangular, or circular complex arithmetic.

Superplastic forming: an analytical approach

Materials Science and Engineering: A, 1992
Abstract Gas pressure forming is the most common and widely practiced method of evaluating practical superplastic forming characteristics. In order to carry out the forming operation under constant strain-rate conditions, a mathematical model is necessary to govern the pressure-time path. In the present analysis, a simple and straightforward equation

On analytical properties of normal forms

Nonlinearity, 1997
The authors present a method on how the normal form of a Hamiltonian can be obtained as a solution of the Cauchy problem for an auxiliary differential equation, which in turn allows to study analytical properties of the normal form of a Hamiltonian independently from the coordinate changes.

On the stability of analytic entropic forms

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 2004
Abstract The stability against small perturbations on the probability distributions (also called experimental robustness) of analytic entropic forms is analyzed. Entropies S [ p ], associated with a given set of probabilities { p i }, that can be written in the simple form S[p]=∑ i=1 W r(p i ) , are shown to be robust, if

Cohomologies and analytic differential forms

Mathematical Notes of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, 1971
A proof that homology groups Hk(x; бX) of a complex analytic space X, countable at infinity and locally smoothly contractible, with coefficients in the lattice bundle бX, are canonically isomorphic to the corresponding homology groups of the finite complex of analytic differential forms with the exterior differential d” as a coboundary operator.

Different Forms of Analytic Functions

2010
The analytic functions we have encountered so far have generally been defined either by power series or as a combination of the elementary polynomial, trigonometric and exponential functions, alongwith their inverse functions. In this chapter, we consider three different ways of representing analytic functions.

An Analytical Approach to Urban Form

2018
The focus of space-morphology, a specific branch in urban morphology, is to ‘uncover the fundamental characteristics of urban geometries’ (Moudon in Ordering space: types in architecture and design. Van Nostrand Reinhold, New York, p. 289–311, 1992) and ‘enrich the description of built form in ways that express aspects of performance and function ...

Sesquilinear Forms and Analytic Semigroups

2014
Applying the theorems of Hille–Yosida or Lumer–Phillips is sometimes unsatisfactory, as they make no claim about possible regularity gain (either in space or time) of solutions. In this chapter we specialize our previous investigations to parabolic equations.
