Finite Element Method-Based Elastic Analysis of Multibody Systems: A Review
This paper presents the main analytical methods, in the context of current developments in the study of complex multibody systems, to obtain evolution equations for a multibody system with deformable elements.

Effects of Seat Belts and Shock Absorbers on the Safety of Racing Car Drivers
This paper aimed to study the behavior of a body (dummy) that was in a race car in the event of a frontal collision with a wall in order to see what loads were acting on the dummy.

Data-driven analytical mechanics of aging viscoelastic shotcrete tunnel shells
Based on the principle of virtual power, equilibrium conditions are established for the forces within a cross section of a tunnel top heading driven according the New Austrian Tunneling Method (NATM).

Analytical mechanics allows novel vistas on mathematical epidemic dynamics modeling [PDF]
This contribution aims to shed light on mathematical epidemic dynamics modelling from the viewpoint of analytical mechanics. To set the stage, it recasts the basic SIR model of mathematical epidemic dynamics in an analytical mechanics setting.

The Foundation of Classical Mechanics
Mechanics is the science of the equilibrium and motion of bodies subject to forces. The adjective classical, hence Classical Mechanics, was added in the 20th century to distinguish it from relativistic mechanics which studies motion with speed close to ...

Structure of the analytical physical theories
We present an analysis of the first analytical physical theories developed after the introduction of calculus. The underlying framework of these theories is the differential and integral calculus in the form developed by Leibniz.

Exact and inexact differentials in the early development of mechanics and thermodynamics [PDF]
We give an account and a critical analysis of the use of exact and inexact differentials in the early development of mechanics and thermodynamics, and the emergence of differential calculus and how it was applied to solve some mechanical problems, such ...

Analytic continuation of stochastic mechanics [PDF]
We study a (relativistic) Wiener process on a complexified (pseudo-)Riemannian manifold. Using Nelson’s stochastic quantization procedure, we derive three equivalent descriptions for this problem. If the process has a purely real quadratic variation, we obtain the one-sided Wiener process that is encountered in the theory of Brownian motion.

Numerical-analytical method in reinforced concrete mechanics
A variant of the numerical-analytical method in the nonlinear mechanics of reinforced concrete is proposed. Calculation models make it possible to take into account a number of important factors, such as discrete cracks, the effect of concrete ...
