In vitro shoot regeneration and analysis of biochemical, antioxidant and anticancer properties of Ananas comosus var. MD2 [PDF]
Pineapple (Ananas comosus (L.) Merr.) is one of the most important crops in the world. Although the phytochemical compounds of pineapple fruits have been extensively studied, little attention was paid on other parts of the plant. In this study, we developed an efficient in vitro regeneration procedures for A. comosus var.

The multidimensional regulation roles and mechanisms of calcium in fruit quality
This review explores how calcium signaling molecule integrates plant hormones, environmental cues, and developmental signals to influence external fruit traits, internal nutritional properties, and physiological disorders. ABSTRACT Calcium (Ca2+), a dual‐functional mineral that serves both as an essential structural factor and a signaling molecule ...

Fruit juices contain a variety of bioactive compounds (mainly polyphenols, anthocyanins, carotenoids, and vitamin C) with antioxidant properties. Traditional thermal processing methods may negatively affect the stability of these compounds, leading to reductions in polyphenol and anthocyanin content, decreased vitamin C levels, and antioxidant activity.

Growth, production and quality of pineapple in response to herbicide use
In pineapple fields, weed competition is exacerbated by the fact that the crop is small and has a very slow vegetative development. The objective of this study was to determine the effects of herbicides on growth, yield and quality of pineapple, cultivar
