ABSTRACT In time‐marching dynamical simulations, treatment of contact forces in deformable bodies represented by finite element meshes requires a compromise between simulation fidelity and computational costs. External forces directly evaluated at the mesh nodes offer better computational performance at the cost of modelling fidelity.

Study of vehicle-terrain interaction based on ANCF
A brief review of the empirical and analytical models are presented. The pressure-sinkage relationship proposed by Bekker and the tractive performance (drawbar pull-slip) of vehicle is set up. A figure of drawbar pull vs. slip at different time and slip is illustrated.

ABSTRACT Geometric nonlinearity arises in problems involving large displacements and rotations, where traditional linear assumptions fail. In the finite element community, several formulations have been developed to address these complexities; the corotational finite element formulation (CRF) has proven to be an efficient alternative to generic total ...

A hybrid perovskite of FAPbI3 with surface‐engineered Si quantum dots (SiQDs, ≈2 nm) shows enhanced carrier transport, reduced surface defects, and modified Fermi level and bandgap. SiQDs are mostly integrated within the perovskite film, and the perovskite lattice serves as a scaffold for the integration of the QDs.

Foam-Metal Liner Attenuation of Low-Speed Fan Noise [PDF]
A foam-metal liner for attenuation of fan noise was developed for and tested on a low speed fan. This type of liner represents a significant advance over traditional liners due to the possibility for placement in close proximity to the rotor.
