Study on prestress long-term loss of anchor cable considering coupled multiple factors

open access: yesRock and Soil Mechanics, 2021
In order to study the long-term loss law of anchorage force and the calculation method of prestress loss of anchorage force, a calculation method of the prestress loss of anchorage force was proposed to account for three factors.

H-Shaped Radial Phononic Crystal for High-Quality Factor on Lamb Wave Resonators

open access: yesSensors, 2023
In this paper, a novel H-shaped radial phononic crystal (H-RPC) structure is proposed to suppress the anchor loss of a Lamb wave resonator (LWR), which has an ultra-high frequency (UHF) and ultra-wideband gap characteristics. Compared to previous studies

Quality Factor Enhancement of Piezoelectric MEMS Resonator Using a Small Cross-Section Connection Phononic Crystal

open access: yesSensors, 2022
Anchor loss is usually the most significant energy loss factor in Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) resonators, which seriously hinders the application of MEMS resonators in wireless communication.

Quality Factor Improvement of a Thin-Film Piezoelectric-on-Silicon Resonator Using a Radial Alternating Material Phononic Crystal

open access: yesMicromachines, 2023
This paper studies the radial alternating material phononic crystal (RAM-PnC). By simulating the band gap structure of the phononic crystal, a complete acoustic band gap was verified at the resonant frequency of 175.14 MHz, which can prevent the ...

Empirical evidence of anchoring and loss aversion from art auctions [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Cultural Economics, 2022
We provide evidence for the behavioral biases of anchoring and loss aversion in paintings sold at auction. We find that anchoring is more important for items that are resold quickly and that the effect of loss aversion increases with the time that a painting is held.

Reem-Shape Phononic Crystal for Q Anchor Enhancement of Thin-Film-Piezoelectric-on-Si MEMS Resonator

open access: yesMicromachines, 2023
This paper proposes a reem-shaped phononic crystal for the performance enhancement of TPoS resonators. The proposed phononic crystal offers an ultra-wide acoustic band gap that prevents energy leakage through the supporting substrate upon its placement ...

Design of a Multiple Folded-Beam Disk Resonator with High Quality Factor

open access: yesMicromachines, 2022
This paper proposes a new multiple folded-beam disk resonator whose thermoelastic quality factor is significantly improved by appropriately reducing the beam width and introducing integral-designed lumped masses.

Simulation on installation process of suction embedded plate anchor considering effect of particle breakage

open access: yesYantu gongcheng xuebao, 2019
The suction embedded plate anchor is a kind of anchor foundation applicable to deep-sea structures. Based on the discrete element method, the installation process of the suction embedded plate anchor in particle breakable foundation is simulated, and the

Multi proxy anchor family loss for several types of gradients

open access: yesComputer Vision and Image Understanding, 2023
The deep metric learning (DML) objective is to learn a neural network that maps into an embedding space where similar data are near and dissimilar data are far. However, conventional proxy-based losses for DML have two problems: gradient problem and application of the real-world dataset with multiple local centers. Additionally, the performance metrics
