Structural Analysis of Arch Anchor Brackets in Ground Anchor Construction

Journal of the Korean Association for Spatial Structures, 2014
When we excavate an underground to build basement, the ground anchors are needed to prevent collapse of neighboring ground, subsidence and movement. Ground anchor construction required shore sheet piles, wales and struts as to maintain secure excavation.

Structural Properties of a Membrane Associated Anchor Dipeptide

The Journal of Physical Chemistry B, 2011
The association of peptides to phospholipid membranes through the insertion of an anchoring hydrocarbon tail is common to some viruses and to several anticancer drugs. We investigate the association of an anchor dipeptide, N-myristoylated methyl glycine (MrG), to phospholipid membrane fragments made of 1-palmitoyl-2-linoleyl phosphatidylcholine (PLPC).

Glycosyl inositolphospholipid-anchored structures in Herpetomonas davidi

Molecular and Biochemical Parasitology, 1995
Glycosyl inositolphospholipid (GPI)-anchored structures in the monogenetic parasite Herpetomanas davidi, were labeled with [3H]glucosamine, and characterized by enzymatic and chemical treatments that are typical for the identification of GPI anchors. [3H]Myristate incorporated into two different pools of GPI-linked structures that could be separated by

The structure and reactivity of anchored nanoparticles on a reducible support

Faraday Discussions, 2004
We have used scanning tunnelling microscopy (STM) to study the structure and reactivity of metal nanoparticles on a TiO2(110) surface. We have deposited two metals (Pt and Ru) using different techniques, metal vapour deposition (MVD) for Pt and metal organic chemical vapour deposition (MOCVD) for Ru.

Analysis of Locking Value of Anchor Cable in Pile Anchor Supporting Structure

Advanced Materials Research, 2013
This paper analyses the problem of locking value of anchor cable of pile anchor supporting of a deep foundation pit in the north of Kunming city. There are many influencing factors of locking value of anchor cable such as relaxation loss of anchor cable materials, tensioning system, pre-stress loss caused by anchorage friction, geological conditions ...

Lipid Anchored Myoglobin 2. Effect of the Anchor Structure on Membrane Binding

Chemistry Letters, 1993
Abstract Protoheme derivatives with different anchor structures were successfull incorporated into apomyoglobin. A longer oxyethylene unit in the anchor was required for efficient, anisotropic binding of the reconstituted myoglobin onto the DPPC bilayer membrane.

Fine structure of anchoring villi of the human placenta

American Journal of Anatomy, 1968
AbstractAnchoring villi from the first trimester, early second trimester, and term were examined with the electron microscope. It was found that the small anchoring villi of the third and fourth month were particularly informative, since at this stage the cytotrophoblast is still proliferating, yet these cells form a compact discoidal region at the ...

Use of structural anchors in underground hydraulic structures

Hydrotechnical Construction, 1986
1. The experience of using structural anchors in underground hydraulic structures shows that there are still large reserves for creating lightweight economical structural elements of underground structures. 2. A thin-walled drained lining anchored to rock is an effective and reliable structure recommended for wide use in workings being ...
