ABSTRACT A plethora of cellular signaling pathways are dysregulated in cancer cells, promoting carcinogenesis and migration. Cholesterol has recently been linked to cancer by several subcellular mechanisms, especially by its involvement in the formation of lipid rafts, which promote oncogenic signaling and cancer cell invasion. Squalene synthase (SQS),

Male and female mice were fed different diets for up to 24 weeks to study the effects of phytosterols (PS) on weight gain and brain immune cells. PS reduced weight gain in HFD‐fed mice. Microglia were isolated from brains and analyzed, revealing no diet‐driven inflammation changes, but differences based on sex and age.

Androgen receptor‐mediated regulation of BRCA1 modulates the antioxidant defense in prostate cancer
Abstract Lethal prostate cancer (PCa) is a genetically heterogeneous disease characterized by evolving androgen receptor (AR) signaling, eventually culminating in castration resistance. The tumor suppressor gene BRCA1 has multiple functions that include secondary processes cooperating with its main function as a caretaker of genomic integrity. BRCA1 is
