Ultra‐Flexible µ‐ECoG Arrays Based on PEDOT:PSS Micropillars
This work demonstrates an efficient procedure for fabricating ultra‐flexible neural interfaces endowed with micropatterned microelectrodes to increase surface area and characterized by extremely low impedance values to enable high‐quality recordings. The home‐built device has been shown to record somatosensory evoked potentials in vivo with exceptional

Biological and Mechanical Limitations for Chronic Fast‐Scan Cyclic Voltammetry Sensor Design
Real‐time detection of neurochemicals has demonstrated value in the field of neuroscience. However, current methods have limitations for use in the chronic setting, which is often the ideal environment for research. This article discusses these limitations, as well as technologies that have been developed to overcome them, and provides recommendations ...

3D transcranial Dynamic Ultrasound Localization Microscopy in the mouse brain using a Row-Column Array [PDF]
The role of brain hemodynamics in neurodegenerative diseases cannot be fully assessed using existing imaging technologies. Recently, 2D Dynamic Ultrasound Localization Microscopy (DULM) has allowed for the quantitative mapping of the pulsatile flow at sub-wavelength resolution. However, to obtain accurate velocity estimates, 3D imaging is more adapted,

This study investigates the combination of host‐directed therapeutics (HDT) with antibiotics in a single polymeric micelle based on polypept(o)ides for the therapy of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) and ‐marinum (Mm) infections. When the HDT and antibiotic are co‐encapsulated, it significantly reduces bacterial burden in cells and improves overall ...

Upconversion‐Based Remote Deep Brain Modulation for Therapeutic Dissection of Parkinson's Disease
An upconversion‐based wireless optogenetic strategy enables an all‐optical deep brain modulation solution for treating Parkinson's disease in rodent animals without using electronics or any tethered cables, providing experimental evidence supporting a therapeutic mechanism of STN‐DBS by disruption of anterograde signal transmission along the indirect ...

Data from a prospective cohort with 112 auditory brainstem implant users are analyzed. Younger age at implantation (<3 years), less severe inner‐ear malformation (common cavity, cochlear aplasia, and hypoplasia), and more intraoperative eABR evoked electrodes (≥60%) are associated with better hearing and speech outcomes.

Multi-Agent Deep Reinforcement Learning for Multiple Anesthetics Collaborative Control [PDF]
Automated control of personalized multiple anesthetics in clinical Total Intravenous Anesthesia (TIVA) is crucial yet challenging. Current systems, including target-controlled infusion (TCI) and closed-loop systems, either rely on relatively static pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) models or focus on single anesthetic control, limiting ...

Sensory Encoding Alternates With Hippocampal Ripples across Cycles of Forebrain Spiking Cascades
This study reveals widespread, coordinated brain activity during passive visual stimulation in mice. Sensory coding, phase‐locked with the periodic dynamics, shows an inverse relationship to hippocampal ripples. The results suggest that periodic brain activity spurs alteration between two distinct operational modes of brain, facilitating exteroceptive ...

The therapeutic potential of ApoVs derived from stem cells from human exfoliated deciduous teeth (SHED‐ApoVs) in the treatment of CD8+ T cell‐mediated hypersensitivity reactions is noteworthy. SHED‐ApoVs are capable of fusing with the plasma membrane of CD8+ T cells, which subsequently triggers a series of events characterized by calcium overload ...
