Clinics in Laboratory Medicine, 1989Measurement of serum angiotensin-converting-enzyme (SACE) is the most useful test for diagnosing and monitoring disease activity in sarcoidosis. Because elevated levels of SACE are not specific for sarcoidosis, other conditions in which SACE levels are also elevated are examined.
