This study reveals a facile silylation protocol that enables the delivery of a stable and activatable dioxasilepanyl group, Si(pan)Me, to aryl and alkyl chlorides. Of note is the X‐ray structure of 18‐C‐6·K–Si(pan)Me, which elucidates a pivotal silylpotassium intermediate.

Modeling of Radiation Pneumonitis after Lung Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy: A Bayesian Network Approach [PDF]
Background and Purpose: Stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) for lung cancer accompanies a non-negligible risk of radiation pneumonitis (RP). This study presents a Bayesian network (BN) model that connects biological, dosimetric, and clinical RP risk factors.

Objective Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is a rare but severe autoimmune disease characterized by immune dysregulation, fibrosis, and vasculopathy. Although previous studies have highlighted the presence of functional autoantibodies targeting the angiotensin II receptor type 1 (AT1) and endothelin‐1 type A receptor (ETAR), leading to autoantibody‐mediated ...

Mineralocorticoid hypertension
Hypertension affects about 10 - 25% of the population and is an important risk factor for cardiovascular and renal disease. The renin-angiotensin system is frequently implicated in the pathophysiology of hypertension, be it primary or secondary.
