Background Previous studies demonstrated that angiotensin (Ang) III, not Ang II, is the predominant endogenous agonist for Ang type‐2 receptor (AT2R)‐induced natriuresis in normal rats, and that hypertensive 12‐week‐old spontaneously hypertensive rats ...

Structural Basis for Ligand Recognition and Functional Selectivity at Angiotensin Receptor*♦
Background: Angiotensin receptor (AT1R) blockers are critical therapeutics used to treat cardiovascular disease. Results: We solved the AT1R-olmesartan structure and identified specific interactions for olmesartan derivatives with different functions ...

This study demonstrates that tumor‐derived IL‐35 promotes pancreatic cancer fibrosis by indirectly activating pancreatic stellate cells through IGFBP2/IGF‐1R/PI3K‐Akt and Tsp‐1/TGF‐β pathways. IL‐35 blockade reduces stromal fibrosis, restores chemosensitivity, and synergizes with gemcitabine‐based regimens, highlighting IL‐35 as a promising therapeutic

Identification of TPRA1 as a Novel Receptor and Predictive Biomarker for Oncolytic Virus M1
This study identifies transmembrane protein adipocyte‐associated 1 (TPRA1) as a novel receptor for oncolytic virus M1 (OVM). TPRA1's ectodomain binds OVM particles, while its intracellular domain facilitates virus internalization, promoting efficient viral entry.

ACE can modulate the CBL‐mediated K48 ubiquitination degradation of PSAP by altering its glycosylation levels in NP cells. As a result, NP cells secrete PSAP, which interacts with GPR37 on macrophage surfaces, facilitating their polarization toward the M2 phenotype. These M2 macrophages subsequently secrete TGFβ, which exerts feedback effects on the NP

12‐HETE Is an Endogenous Modulator of BLT2 Triggering Vascular Degeneration, Dissection, and Rupture
In thoracic aortic dissection (TAD), elevated levels of the arachidonic acid metabolite 12‐HETE, produced by macrophage‐specific 12/15‐lipoxygenase (12/15‐LOX), bind to the BLT2 receptor on vascular cells. This activates the NOX‐1/ROS/NF‐κB signaling pathway, leading to IL‐6 release.

ATRQβ‐001 Vaccine Prevents Experimental Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms
Background We have developed a peptide vaccine named ATRQβ‐001, which was proved to retard signal transduction initiated by angiotensin II (Ang II). Ang II was implicated in abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) progression, but whether the ATRQβ‐001 vaccine ...

This retrospective study explored the potential impact of renin–angiotensin system inhibitors (RASIs) on renal function during the ileostomy period in patients undergoing rectal cancer surgery. RASI use was associated with early postoperative renal impairment, and relatively slow recovery of renal function was observed until stoma closure.

Impaired angiotensin II signaling in septic shock
Recent years have seen a resurgence of interest for the renin–angiotensin–aldosterone system in critically ill patients. Emerging data suggest that this vital homeostatic system, which plays a crucial role in maintaining systemic and renal hemodynamics ...
