Angiotensin receptor blockers and COVID-19
Angiotensin Receptor Blockers (ARBs) exhibit major pleiotropic protecting effects beyond their antihypertensive properties, including reduction of inflammation. ARBs directly protect the lung from the severe acute respiratory syndrome as a result of viral infections, including those from coronavirus.

A nano‐interception strategy disrupts pathogenic fibroblast–macrophage crosstalk in chronic heart failure. Scalable Prussian blue nanoparticles selectively sequester CCL2 via ultrahigh‐affinity binding, preventing CCR2+ macrophage recruitment and breaking a key fibro‐inflammatory circuit. This approach demonstrates robust efficacy in murine and porcine

Present and future pharmacotherapeutic agents in heart failure: an evolving paradigm [PDF]
Many conditions culminate in heart failure (HF), a multi-organ systemic syndrome with an intrinsically poor prognosis. Pharmacotherapeutic agents that correct neurohormonal dysregulation and haemodynamic instability have occupied the forefront of ...

GPCRs in CAR‐T Cell Immunotherapy: Expanding the Target Landscape and Enhancing Therapeutic Efficacy
Chimeric antigen receptor T cell therapy faces dual challenges of target scarcity and an immunosuppressive microenvironment in solid tumors. This review highlights how G protein‐coupled receptors can serve as both novel targets to expand the therapeutic scope and functional modules to enhance CAR‐T cell efficacy.

How should anti-hypertensive medications be adjusted before screening for primary aldosteronism?
Anti-hypertensive medications may affect plasma renin activity and/or plasma aldosterone concentration, misleading the interpretation of the aldosterone-to-renin ratio when screening for primary aldosteronism. The Task Force of Taiwan PA recommends that,

The Pathophysiology and Treatment of Hypertension in Patients With Cushing's Syndrome [PDF]
When hypertension, a pathology that is frequently found in the general population, presents in a young patient, secondary causes such as Cushing's syndrome (CS), a rare disease characterized by long-term elevated cortisol levels, should be considered ...

4‐HBA upregulates NKIRAS2 levels, inhibiting the activation of the NF‐κB pathway and subsequently reducing the levels of neuroinflammatory markers. This modulation helps restore normal mood and behavior in hyperlipidemic conditions, providing a potential therapeutic strategy for managing hyperlipidemia‐associated depression.
