Non-identifiability of the two state Markovian Arrival process [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper we consider the problem of identifiability of the two-state Markovian Arrival process (MAP2). In particular, we show that the MAP2 is not identifiable and conditions are given under which two different sets of parameters, induce identical ...

Arrival and departure manager cooperation for reducing airborne holding times at destination airports [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
This thesis addresses the possibility of using a delay-on-ground concept in which flights with less than 1 hour flying time (often referred to as pop-up flights) absorb their arrival sequencing delay at the departure gate by being issued their Arrival ...

Evaluation of characteristics of the craniofacial complex and dental maturity in girls with central precocious puberty [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
OBJECTIVES: To identify unique characteristics of the craniofacial complex and dental maturity in girls with central precocious puberty (CPP). MATERIALS AND METHODS: This study included 34 Korean girls with idiopathic CPP (mean age, 8.6 ± .5 ...

Near‐Field Electrospinning Micro‐Printhead Achieves Precise Control of Nanofiber Deposition

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A micro‐printhead for near‐field electrospinning enables reproducible deposition of polymer nanofibers with diameters below 50 nm. Systematic parameter studies uncover the mechanisms linking operating conditions to fiber morphology, paving the way for precise and low‐cost nanoscale 3D manufacturing. As a high‐resolution, cost‐effective, and rapid ...

Indoor Wideband Time/Angle of Arrival Multipath

open access: yes, 1997
Most current indoor propagation experiments measure the time of arrival of characteristics of multipath reflections without regard to angle of arrival.

3D Angle-of-Arrival Positioning Using von Mises-Fisher Distribution

open access: yes, 2018
We propose modeling an angle-of-arrival (AOA) positioning measurement as a 3-dimensional von Mises-Fisher (VMF)-distributed unit vector instead of the conventional normally distributed azimuth and elevation measurements.

Composition‐Tuned Enhancement of the Anomalous Nernst Effect in FeCo–Pt Thin Films on Rigid and Flexible Substrates

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Disordered (Fe50Co50)1−xPtx thin films exhibit a pronounced anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) with a strong composition dependence on both rigid and flexible substrates. The transverse thermoelectric response peaks near 22.5 at.% Pt, accompanied by enhanced αxy/σxy scaling, thermal transport, and ANE sensitivity.

MEASUREMENTS OF ARRIVAL TIME DISTRIBUTIONS OF EAS MUONS WITH THE FACILITIES OF THE KASCADE CENTRAL DETECTOR

open access: yes, 2007
The central detector of the KASCADE experiment is equipped with a trigger and timing facility, which enables measurements of the arrival time distributions of muons hitting the central detector.
