Determining angle of arrival of radio-frequency fields using subwavelength, amplitude-only measurements of standing waves in a Rydberg atom sensor

Journal of Applied Physics
Deep subwavelength radio-frequency (RF) imaging with atomic Rydberg sensors has overcome fundamental limitations of traditional antennas and enabled ultra-wideband detection of omni-directional time varying fields all in a compact form factor.

Single Differenced Doppler Positioning with Low Earth Orbit Signals of Opportunity and Angle of Arrival Estimation

, 2021
This paper proposes a novel method for positioning using Low Earth Orbit (LEO) signals of opportunity. A stationary basestation and roving receiver framework is presented wherein the base-station performs Angle of Arrival (AOA) estimation of the LEO ...

Two-dimensional angle of arrival fluctuations

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1996
Angle of arrival fluctuations are one manifestation of acoustic propagation through a turbulent flow. Here the two-dimensional angle of arrival distribution for a 670-m acoustic path through a high Reynolds number flow in a tidal channel is examined and its origin and relationship to the flow field is determined.
