Prediction and Characteristics of Angular Distortion in Multi-Layer Butt Welding [PDF]
Multi-layer welding involves the process of stacking many beads, so it requires much time and effort to predict the deformation through experimentation or numerical analysis. In this study, a systematic method for predicting transverse angular distortion in multi-layer butt welding has been proposed.

Effects of welding parameters on the angular distortion of welded steel plates
In a welding process, distortion is inevitable and causes a significant problem. Distortion could be minimized up to a specific limit by controlling the welding parameters.

Effect of Welding Orientation in Angular Distortion in Multipass GMAW [PDF]
The use of the welding process on an industrial scale has become significant over the years and is currently among the main processes for joining metallic materials. Along the weld, structural changes occur in the vicinity of the joint.

Distortion mitigation in interferometric angular velocity measurements
New methods for reducing signal distortion in interferometric angular velocity measurements are introduced. Two waveform approaches are proposed: long‐wavelength signals and short‐pulse signals. The source of nonlinear distortion is derived and analysed, and the strengths and drawbacks of each method are discussed.

Analysis of angular reading distortions of photographic images [PDF]
Although photogrammetry is a widespread technique in the health field, despite of the methodological efforts distortions in the angular readings of the images are common. To measure the error of angular measurements in photo images with different digital resolutions in an object with pre-determined angles. We used a rubber ball with 52 cm in ...
