Molecular recognition of anions by synthetic receptors
Over the past year, several significant developments have been made in the field of anion binding. The fundamental principles of molecular recognition are increasingly being better understood, and of particular interest are reports of several synthetic anion receptors able to perform their task in complex natural media.

Atom‐Efficient Cerium‐Based Molecular Cages as Biocompatible Reactive Oxygen Scavengers
Discrete mixed‐valent cerium molecular cages organize accessible redox centers within confined coordination environments and scavenge superoxide, hydrogen peroxide, and hydroxyl radicals. Encapsulation of the lead cage in an ROS‐responsive DTP nanoplatform enables lesion‐associated delivery, attenuates macrophage oxidative stress and inflammation, and ...

Chiral anion recognition using calix[4]arene-based ureido receptors in a 1,3-alternate conformation
The introduction of chiral alkyl substituents into the lower rim of calix[4]arene immobilised in the 1,3-alternate conformation led to a system possessing a preorganised ureido cavity hemmed with chiral alkyl units in the near proximity.

Energetic Offset in Organic Solar Cells‐ Importance, Confusion and Outlook
Energetic offsets in organic solar cells (OSCs) remain a subject of debate due to measurement‐ and lab‐dependent discrepancies. This Perspective clarifies the physical origins of these variations and identifies temperature‐dependent electro‐optical methods as a reliable approach to obtain consistent offset values.

Pyrrolylamidourea based anion receptors
The anion binding behaviour of a number of pyrrolylamidourea and thiourea compounds have been studied in DMSO solution. Mono-amidothioureapyrrole compounds were found to be deprotonated by basic anions such as fluoride, acetate, benzoate or ...

Anion Conducting States of Excitatory Amino Acid Transporters [PDF]
Excitatory amino acid transporters (EAATs) are secondary active, electrogenic transporters which translocate L-glutamate (glu) against its concentration gradient using the co-transport of 3 Na+, 1 H+, and the counter-transport of 1 K+ ion.

Molecular doping of conjugated polymers is fundamentally constrained by thermodynamic phase behavior. This Perspective reframes doping efficiency and stability in terms of miscibility limits, binodals, and solvus boundaries, highlighting the role of effective interaction parameters and charge transfer.
