Anion-triggered electrodeposition in ferrocene-functionalised ortho-phenylenediamine-based receptors

open access: yes, 2008
Ferrocene-functionalised anion receptors based on an ortho-phenylenediamine scaffold have been shown to undergo anion-triggered electrochemical deposition.

Ligand Assisted Epitaxial Growth of CsPbBr3 Microcrystal Resonators With Record ‐Low Lasing Thresholds

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Solution‐based ligand‐assisted epitaxial growth (LAEG) yields high‐quality CsPbBr3 microcrystals on different substrates with superior morphology, passivated surfaces, and high photoluminescence quantum yield. These robust micro‐resonators achieve record‐low room‐temperature lasing thresholds of 7.2 kW·cm−2 and maintain operational stability up to 90 ...

Role of Structural Disorder on Phonon Transport and Thermal Conductivity in Li6PS5Br

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Solid electrolytes are fast ion and slow heat conductors. Although both transport properties are governed by lattice dynamics and atomic structure, their interplay remains poorly understood. Here, we study this interrelation in anion‐ordered and disordered Li6PS5Br.

Hydrogen-bonding pyrrolic amide cleft anion receptors

open access: yes, 2001
The use of simple 2,5-diamidopyrrole derivatives as anion receptors has been investigated. Reaction of 3,4-diphenylpyrrole-2,5-dicarboxylic acid chloride with n-butylamine or aniline has produced two new amidic cleft anion receptors 1 and 2.

The Effect of Hydrophilic Headgroup Chemistry on Peptoid‐Directed Mineralization of CaCO3

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Amphiphilic peptoids alter the pathway and outcome of calcium carbonate crystallization, which progresses through amorphous calcium carbonate (ACC) to vaterite to calcite rhombs in the absence of peptoids. In contrast, amine‐terminated peptoids produce vaterite disks and carboxyl‐terminated peptoids produce calcite mesocrystals.

Squaramide-based receptors in anion supramolecular chemistry: insights into anion binding, sensing, transport and extraction [PDF]

open access: yes
Over the last 15 years, squaramide-based receptors have attracted the attention of supramolecular chemists working in the field of anion recognition. Herein, we highlight examples of squaramide-based receptors that are able to bind, sense, extract and ...

Anion receptors with nitrone C-H hydrogen bond donors

open access: yes, 2023
We report the use of nitrone C-H groups as hydrogen bond donors for binding anions. Acyclic anion receptors with two nitrone moieties were synthesized by condensation reactions between aryl-aldehydes and m-phenylenedihydroxylamines.

Programming Neuromorphic Plasticity Through Ionic and Electronic Coupling in Organic Electrochemical Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Neuromorphic plasticity in OECTs is governed by the post‐stimulus evolution of coupled ionic and electronic states. Semiconductor chemistry and morphology, electrolyte composition and interfaces, and device architecture regulate ion injection, transport, confinement, and release, shifting responses from rapidly relaxing STP to metastable memory and ...

From amides to thioamides: understanding enhanced anion binding in acyclic receptors. [PDF]

open access: yesRSC Adv
We synthesized acyclic amide and thioamide-based receptors and evaluated their anion binding efficacy experimentally and computationally. Our study shows the receptors adopt favorable conformations upon chloride binding and confirms that the stronger NH ...
