Anion recognition by cyclic peptides [PDF]
Cyclic peptides provide excellent scaffolds for anion recognition and improved binding affinity and selectivity has been achieved through peptide backbone rigidification and the introduction of side chains bearing anion recognition groups.

Anion Recognition by Neutral Receptors [PDF]
In this review the design of neutral receptors for anions is described. In these receptors, selective anion recognition takes place either exclusively via hydrogen bonding or by combination of a Lewis acidic UO2-center and hydrogen bonds. An approach to neutral bifunctional receptors containing both anion and cation complexing sites is described.

Sigma-Hole Interactions in Anion Recognition [PDF]
Summary Sigma (σ)-holes are electron-deficient regions that arise from the anisotropic distribution of electron density on the atom of group 14 (tetrels), 15 (pnictogens), 16 (chalcogens), and 17 (halogens) elements when covalently bonded to electron-withdrawing groups.

Anion Recognition by Aliphatic Helical Oligoureas [PDF]
AbstractInvited for the cover of this issue is the group of Gilles Guichard at the University of Bordeaux. The image depicts the interaction between a 2.5‐helical oligourea foldamer and an anionic guest symbolized as a soccer ball. Read the full text of the article at 10.1002/chem.201602481.

Porphyrin-functionalised rotaxanes for anion recognition
The synthesis and anion-recognition properties of two new porphyrin-functionalised [2]rotaxane host molecules are described. The rotaxane compounds are prepared via a chloride-anion-templated clipping strategy. (1)H NMR titration experiments demonstrate that the rotaxane host systems exhibit high binding affinities and general selectivities for ...

Redox Controlled Chalcogen Bonding for Switchable Anion Recognition and Sensing [PDF]
Inspired by the success of its related sigma-hole congener halogen bonding (XB), chalcogen bonding (ChB) is emerging as a powerful non-covalent interaction with a plethora of applications in supramolecular chemistry and beyond. In spite of its increasing

Neutral MOF Anion Receptor: Radical‐Promoted Precise Anion Recognition [PDF]
Precise ion recognition plays a key role in the anionic decontamination in water. However, the established anionic recognition based on neutral or cationic anion receptor is still restricted by the inherent limitation, such as narrow application scope in
