Fast oriented Anisotropic Diffusion filter
2016 11th International Design & Test Symposium (IDT), 2016In image and video processing the denoising process is an important step before several processing tasks. This paper presents a Faster Oriented Speckle Reducing Anisotropic Diffusion filter (FOSRAD) method to speed up the processing time and keep a higher quality of image, which can be considered as a modified version of the Oriented Speckle Reducing ...

Anisotropic diffusion and local monotonicity
Proceedings of the 1998 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing, ICASSP '98 (Cat. No.98CH36181), 2002This paper investigates the relationship between anisotropic diffusion and local monotonicity. A diffusion technique that has locally monotonic root signals is presented. The enhancement algorithm rapidly converges to a locally monotonic signal of the desired degree.

Anisotropic diffusion and correlation analysis
Physical Review E, 2002A method of statistical analysis of the correlation between two given scale invariant sequences is proposed. The relation between the fractal dimension of a two-dimensional random walk, generated with jumps derived from the signals, and the scaling exponents of the sequences is investigated, and a well-defined relation is found in the case of ...

Relations between anisotropic diffusion and robust statistics are described in this paper. We show that anisotropic diffusion can be seen as a robust estimation procedure that estimates a piecewise smooth image from a noisy input image. The “edge-stopping” function in the anisotropic diffusion equation is closely related to the error norm and influence

Anisotropic Diffusion Lengths in Diffusion Theory
Journal of Applied Physics, 1955A set of formulas defining diffusion lengths in heterogeneous assemblies is presented. Even in the homogeneous limit, these formulas lead to anisotropic diffusion lengths for systems such as rod or slab assemblies which are microscopically anisotropic.
