Effects of Deposition Angle on the Optical Properties of Helically Structured Films
Glancing-angle deposition (GLAD) is a fabrication method capable of producing thin films with variable porosity. The GLAD process exploits substrate shadowing and limited adatom diffusion to create isolated columns of material that collectively comprise ...

Precipitation Simulations of the O‐Phase in Ti2AlNb Alloys Processed by Laser Powder Bed Fusion
Simulated and experimental evolution of the O‐phase volume fraction during postprocessing of a Ti‐21Al‐25Nb (at.%) alloy processed by laser powder bed fusion. With results of sensitivity to input parameters from a thorough and quantified analysis, the interfacial energy matrix/precipitate is the most relevant input parameter for the simulation of the O‐

Anisotropy of laser-induced electro-response in shale: Modelling and experimental validation
Laser-induced electro-response (LIER), as a new method that complements conventional rock physics testing techniques, is expected to address issues such as of unclear mechanisms, model deficiency, inconsistent evaluation parameters, and difficulty in ...

Artificial anisotropic dielectric material for antenna polarization rotation
In this paper, an uniaxial anisotropic material block composed of dielectric sheets is examined for the rotation of the tilt angle of the linear polarization. The main objective is to diminish the coupling between two antenna elements.

Grain boundary triple junctions are an essential ingredient of the microstructure of polycrystalline materials. In this study, a triple junction is observed using atomic‐resolution scanning transmission electron microscopy and characterized. Computer simulations reveal that the junction has a dislocation character that is determined by the joining ...

Sol–gel‐derived ZnO–rGO hybrid nanoparticles enable Al7075 powder‐metallurgy composites to achieve concurrent gains in hardness and thermal conductivity while markedly lowering friction and wear. The hybrid architecture couples ZnO‐based load support with rGO‐assisted lamellar sliding and heat spreading, revealing a promising route toward lightweight ...

Magnetic Control of Chiral Hybridized Phonon Magnetic Moments in Ferrimagnets Fe2‐xZnxMo3O8
Helicity‐resolved magneto‐Raman spectroscopy reveals magnetic control of chiral phonon magnetic moments in polar ferrimagnet (ZnxFe2−xMo3O₈). Large spontaneous zero‐field phonon splittings, selective phonon–magnon coupling, and asymmetric Zeeman responses demonstrate that phonon chirality is governed by magnon‐phonon coupling and magnetization.
