Biotransformation of Organogenic Substances in the Aniva Bay Waters: Assessment with the Use of Mathematical Modeling

Water Resources, 2005
Mathematical modeling is used to study the conditions of natural biotransformation of biogenic element compounds (containing C, N, P, Si) in five areas within Aniva Bay. The input data for the model are evaluated with the use of GIS “Sakhalin Shelf” and the available reference literature on the bay oceanography.

Analysis of Conditions of Petroleum Hydrocarbon Transformations in Seawater and Simulation of This Process in Aniva Bay

Water Resources, 2005
Simulation methods are used to study the self-purification capacity of water from Aniva Bay before the construction on the coast of the bay of the world's largest liquefied natural gas plant and oil loading terminals for ships with a displacement of 100 000 t or more.

Characteristic of microalgae development in the Sea of Okhotsk in winter and modeling of their annual dynamics in Aniva Bay

Water Resources, 2007
The possibility of forming of higher diatomic biomasses in winter in the waters of the Sea of Okhotsk water and Aniva Bay is considered. Data of field observations, satellite information, and a mathematical model describing the transformations of compounds of biogenic elements (C, Si, N, and P) are used for this purpose.

An Annotated List of the Marine and Brackish-Water Ichthyofauna of Aniva Bay (Sea of Okhotsk, Sakhalin Island): 1. Petromyzontidae−Agonidae Families

Journal of Ichthyology, 2018
Based on a critical analysis of literature data for the past 200 years and the results of our own multiyear studies, an annotated list of marine, brackish-water, and anadromous (migratory) fish found in Aniva Bay (southern part of the Sea of Okhotsk, southern part of Sakhalin Island) is given: 274 species (against 164 previously mentioned) in three ...

Analysis of sea level measurements and wind wave parameters in Aniva Bay (Sea of Okhotsk)

Hydrometeorological research and forecasting
The paper presents an analysis of measurements of sea level and parameters of wind waves in Aniva Bay, performed using hydrostatic pressure sensors in June‒August 2023. Measurements were carried out at mooring stations at depths of 10 and 15 m. Hydrostatic pressure data in the analysis of wind waves were adjusted taking into account the linear theory ...

Studying the Ecosystem Functioning Conditions in Aniva Bay–La Perouse Strait

Water Resources, 2003
An atlas of oceanographic data on the shelf zone of Sakhalin Island and a mathematical model describing the transformations of nutrient compounds (N, P, Si, C) are used to study the biotransformation and transport of organic and mineral components of these elements in the La Perouse Strait.
