Elimination of sulfamethoxazole by anodic oxidation using mixed metal oxide anodes
Journal of Water Process Engineering, 2023The degradation of sulfamethoxazole (SMX) was studied by anodic oxidation (AO) process using mixed metal oxide (MMO) electrodes with different Ru/Ir ratios. Each electrode was characterized morphological and electrochemically. The electrolyzes were performed in NaCl and Na2SO4 applying two current densities (10 and 50 mA cm-2).

Treatment of microplastics in water by anodic oxidation: A case study for polystyrene.
Environmental Pollution, 2020Water pollution by microplastics (MPs) is a contemporary issue which has recently gained lots of attentions. Despite this, very limited studies were conducted on the degradation of MPs. In this paper, we reported the treatment of synthetic mono-dispersed

Anodizing is a low-temperature, low-cost electrochemical process allowing for the growth, on the surface of valve metals and valve metal alloys, of anodic oxides of tunable composition and properties. This article is an overview on theoretical aspects concerning the general aspects of the kinetics of growth of barrier and porous anodic oxides and some ...
