Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Complex optimization in answer set programming
Preference handling and optimization are indispensable means for addressing nontrivial applications in Answer Set Programming (ASP). However, their implementation becomes difficult whenever they bring about a significant increase in computational ...

Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Retrieval-augmented Generative Intelligence Question Answering Technology Based on Knowledge Graph [PDF]
A knowledge graph-based retrieval-augmented generation framework is proposed to achieve military intelligence question answering. The framework effectively acquires background knowledge through question classification, entity recognition, entity linking, and

Backdoor Trees for Answer Set Programming
We translate the concept of backdoor trees from SAT to propositional Answer Set Programming (ASP). By means of backdoor trees we can reduce a reasoning task for a general ASP instance to reasoning tasks on several tractable ASP instances.

Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

Unfounded Sets and Well-Founded Semantics of Answer Set Programs with Aggregates
Logic programs with aggregates (LPA) are one of the major linguistic extensions to Logic Programming (LP). In this work, we propose a generalization of the notions of unfounded set and well-founded semantics for programs with monotone and antimonotone ...

Guarded Open Answer Set Programming
Open answer set programming (OASP) is an extension of answer set programming where one may ground a program with an arbitrary superset of the program's constants.

This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.
