Numerical analysis of the electric arc simulation using Ansys CFX

26th International Conference on Electrical Contacts (ICEC 2012), 2012
The main focus of this work is to give an overview of the mathematical errors introduced by the temporal and spatial discretization in case of plasma simulations. Two standard models for the electric arc simulation have been used, for each of them a variation of the timestep and of the mesh density has been performed.

Application of the coupled code ATHLET-ANSYS CFX for the simulation of the flow mixing inside the ROCOM test facility

Progress in nuclear energy (New series), 2021
System thermal-hydraulic (STH) codes are based on 1D lumped parameter approach, which has limited capabilities to model 3D flow mixing phenomena. To close this gap, STH programs are coupled with modern computational fluid dynamics (CFD) tools.

Application ANSYS CFX in modeling turbine blade

2009 International Conference on Mechatronics and Automation, 2009
In this paper, by the review of abrasive flow machining (AFM) and the principle of traditional process technology, a new polishing process technology about polishing internal surface of bend pipe, which is simpler, is developed. The turbine blade, which is a component of polishing ball, is designed and simulated by ANSYS-CFX (Blade Geometry, Advanced ...
