Antenna Radiation Pattern Measurement at a Reduced Distance
2004 Conference on Precision Electromagnetic Measurements, 2004A method has been developed to obtain the far-field radiation pattern of an antenna at a reduced distance where the far-field distance condition is not satisfied. It uses an asymptotic antenna transmission formula and angular mode deconvolution technique to determine the far-field radiation ...

Simulation of antenna radiation pattern
Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 1995AbstractAdequately modeling the radiation pattern of a highâperformance antenna system usually requires the expensive development of complicated electromagnetic software or the storage of an extremely large number of measured data. An alternative and efficient simulation technique is described in this article using a spherical wave expansion model ...

On the radiation pattern of a multibeam antenna
IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 1976The optimum radiation of a lens antenna with an array feed of M elements is desired, which will exhibit maximum gain in a number ( k ) of specified directions and nulls in other ( j ) specified directions. This optimum is not derived; however, a condition for the optimum is shown to be some superposition of just ( k + j ) individual radiation patterns ...

Plasma Antenna Radiation Patterns
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2003Elevation angle pattern measurements of our Plasma Antenna are presented and compared with results from computer models. Good agreement is found for the measurements with patterns predicted by our linearly decreasing conductivity model for the plasma antenna, derived from computer models using readily available packages.

Calculating antenna radiation patterns
Electrical Engineering, 1944CALCULATIONS of the horizontal relative field patterns of antennas are long and laborious and increase in complexity with the number of antenna elements employed. Present calculating machines are useful only for antenna-beam arrays consisting of not over three elements.

Radiation pattern of a borehole radar antenna
Geophysics, 2005Abstract The finite-difference time-domain method was used to simulate radar waves that were generated by a transmitting antenna inside a borehole. The simulations were of four different models that included features such as a water-filled borehole and an antenna with resistive loading.

On the Radiation Patterns of Interfacial Antennas
1982The radiation pattern of an interfacial radiating source is obtained for the case where the source is an infinitely long line source lying along the plane interface of two dielectric half-spaces; for the case where the source is an infinitesimal electric dipole vertically located on the interface; and for the case where the dipole is lying horizontally

A radiation pattern reconfigurable yagi antenna
2017 Sixth Asia-Pacific Conference on Antennas and Propagation (APCAP), 2017A planar Yagi antenna with configurable radiation pattern is proposed in this paper. The single planar Yagi antenna structure with unidirectional radiation is designed firstly, and the radiation pattern reconfigurable antenna is consist of four planar Yagi antenna and a RF switch element.

Analysis of the radiation patterns of reflector antennas
IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 1976The development and application of a numerical technique for the rapid calculation of the far-field radiation patterns of a reflector antenna from either a measured or computed feed pattern are reported. The reflector is defined by the intersection of a cone with any surface of revolution or an offset sector of any surface of revolution.

On-body antenna with reconfigurable radiation pattern
2014 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Workshop Series on RF and Wireless Technologies for Biomedical and Healthcare Applications (IMWS-Bio2014), 2014On body antenna design is a challenging task due to the body being in the near-field of the antenna and the interaction between the two. The antenna should be designed to have a more application dependent gain pattern and to be less sensitive to near field effects of the body.
