Radiation patterns of interfacial dipole antennas
Radio Science, 1982The radiation pattern of an infinitesimal electric dipole is calculated for the case where the dipole is vertically located on the plane interface of two dielectric half spaces and for the case where the dipole is lying horizontally along the interface.

Wideband Dielectric Patch Antenna With Stable Radiation Pattern
IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2023A dielectric patch antenna (DPA) with a wide impedance bandwidth and a stable radiation pattern is investigated. By making use of the fact that the E-field distributions of different modes of the DPA are distinctive, multiple air regions are elaborately introduced into the DPA. They can manipulate the resonant frequencies of different modes.

Improving radiation pattern of microstrip antennas
2006 First European Conference on Antennas and Propagation, 2006It was shown in [1] that polarization currents in the dielectric substrate of microstrip antennas cause deterioration of the radiation pattern. We further study this effect analytically and numerically, with emphasis on techniques for improving the radiation pattern.

Plotting satellite antenna radiation patterns
IEEE Antennas and Propagation Magazine, 1991Approaches for visualizing satellite antenna radiation patterns are presented. Gain-level contours drawn over a geographical map give the clearest quantitative information. A three-dimensional surface plot displays the qualitative shape of the radiation pattern more naturally.

A radiation pattern reconfigurable yagi antenna
2017 Sixth Asia-Pacific Conference on Antennas and Propagation (APCAP), 2017A planar Yagi antenna with configurable radiation pattern is proposed in this paper. The single planar Yagi antenna structure with unidirectional radiation is designed firstly, and the radiation pattern reconfigurable antenna is consist of four planar Yagi antenna and a RF switch element.

Scanning synthetic radiation pattern antennas
Radioelectronics and Communications Systems, 2010It is proposed conception of development of new type transmitting-receiving scanning antennas, which are called antennas with synthetic radiation pattern. It is based on application of movement of radiating (receiving) element together with synthesizing of radiation pattern (RP) by means of SAR for processing of recorded information about radiated and ...

SAMS: antenna radiation pattern acquisition
IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium. 2001 Digest. Held in conjunction with: USNC/URSI National Radio Science Meeting (Cat. No.01CH37229), 2002SAMS is a product family in the area of antenna radiation pattern acquisition and processing. It has been developed and is commercialised since 1998, by SILICOM, in partnership with the CNES (French Spatial Agency). The CNES expertise in antenna measurements together with SILICOM's proficiency in software development and in hyper-frequency studies led ...

Microstrip antenna for radiation pattern reconfigurability
2017 IEEE Jordan Conference on Applied Electrical Engineering and Computing Technologies (AEECT), 2017A microstrip patch Antenna with different radiation patterns reconfigurability is proposed. The antenna operates at a resonant frequency of 2.4 GHz and consists of two layers of Rogers TMM4 with a relative permittivity of 4.5 and loss tangent of 0.002. The substrate size is 100 × 116 mm2 and the height of each substrate is 1.524 mm.

Microcomputer Controlled Antenna Radiation Pattern Measurements
13th European Microwave Conference, 1983, 2006An automatic antenna radiation pattern measurement system based on a microcomputer is presented. Stepper motors, directly controlled by the computer, are used to drive elevation, azimuth and polarisation positioners. During measurement the computer programs the signal source, collects pattern data from the microwave receiver and converts, stores and ...

Variable radiation pattern of helix antennas
IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium. 1999 Digest. Held in conjunction with: USNC/URSI National Radio Science Meeting (Cat. No.99CH37010), 2003Two-wire or four-wire helical antennas, which are rod-shaped and space-saving and hence simple in structure, have been attracting attention as antennas to be used for mobile satellite communication base stations. Kawakami et al. (1997) reported that changing the phase shift and the number of turns of wire in the central portion enables vertical pattern
