The Pharmacokinetics of Subcutaneous Eprinomectin in Plasma and Milk in Dry Dairy Cattle

open access: yesJournal of Veterinary Pharmacology and Therapeutics, Volume 48, Issue 3, Page 163-169, May 2025.
ABSTRACT Parasitic infections in dairy cattle reduce herd immunity, milk production, and conception rates. This leads to higher production costs, compromised animal welfare, and increased interest in extralabel drug use. The extralabel use of anthelmintics poses food safety risks for consumers since appropriate withdrawal intervals in milk have yet to ...

Occurrence of Internal Parasites and Anthelmintic Resistance in Goats

open access: yesAnimals
Extensive anthelmintic (AH) use for endoparasitism prevention, especially gastrointestinal strongyle (GIS) infections, led to AH resistance (AR). This study assessed the internal parasitic profile and AR occurrence in goat herds.

Contribution of disease to Australian sea lion (Neophoca cinerea) pup mortality at Seal Bay, Kangaroo Island, 2016–2022

open access: yesMarine Mammal Science, Volume 41, Issue 2, April 2025.
Abstract The endangered Australian sea lion (Neophoca cinerea) population is declining, and its conservation is threatened by the species' low fecundity and high pup mortality. This study details reasons for pup deaths and quantifies the impacts of disease and comorbidity. Of 284 dead pups reported from five breeding seasons (2016–2022) at the Seal Bay
