Sodiumation of Biomass‐Derived Quinones Enables High‐Rate and Long‐Life Cathodes for Sodium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 3, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Biomass‐derived quinones are promising green and sustainable cathode materials for sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs), yet their practical application is hindered by poor cycling stability due to dissolution in conventional electrolytes. Herein, we demonstrate that sodiumation is an effective strategy to enhance both rate capability and cycling ...

‘Small’ Technology, Big Power: Micropore Engineering for High‐Performance Flow Battery Membranes

open access: yesSmall, Volume 22, Issue 18, 25 March 2026.
This review systematically analyzes recent advances in redox flow batteries (RFBs) membrane separators, focusing on the shift from traditional ion‐exchange membranes to emerging functional porous membranes: Covalent Organic Frameworks (COFs), Metal‐Organic Frameworks (MOFs), and Polymers of Intrinsic Microporosity (PIMs).

A Chemiluminescence‐Activated Photodynamic Platform to Penetrate MRSA Biofilms and Counteract H2S‐Mediated Defense

open access: yesSmall Science, Volume 6, Issue 3, March 2026.
A chemiluminescence‐activated photodynamic system is developed to eradicate methicillin‐resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) biofilms without external light or antibiotics. CO2 generated in situ disrupts biofilms and propels nanocarriers for deep penetration, while hypericin generates reactive oxygen species and suppresses H2S‐mediated defenses. This

Degradation of Dyes by Fungi: A Bibliometric Study and Bibliographic Review

open access: yesEnvironmental Quality Management, Volume 35, Issue 3, Spring 2026.
ABSTRACT The degradation of dyes from textile effluents is considered a major challenge due to their high potential for environmental contamination and health risks due to their toxicity. In this sense, the use of fungi for the degradation of these compounds is reported in the literature as an ecological alternative with great potential.
