Anthropomorphic Wooden Figures from the Trans-urals1
Archaeology, Ethnology and Anthropology of Eurasia, 2014Abstract Anthropomorphic wooden figures found in peat-bogs east of the Urals are described. Their archaeological context, chronology, and stylistics are analyzed. The Uralian specimens are compared with those from Western and Eastern Europe. The possible meaning of these representations is reconstructed on the basis of Ob Ugrian rituals and mythology.

Следующий пласт «Б» образуют 16 горизонтов эпохи ранней бронзы. Верхний пласт «А» соответствует железному веку. Материалы пластов «А» и «Б» в основном опубликованы.

Anthropomorphic Rock Art Figures in the Middle Mimbres Valley New Mexico
KIVA, 1989ABSTRACTAnthropomorphic rock art figures occur frequently at rock art sites in the middle Mimbres River Valley of New Mexico. During survey in 1987, 23 sites with rock art were recorded, 11 of which have anthropomorphic figures. Most of these figures can be attributed to the Jornada Style, dated at roughly A.D. 1000–1400.
