The continuous measurement of anti-CCP-antibodies does not help to evaluate the disease activity in anti-CCP-antibody-positive patients with rheumatoid arthritis

Clinical Rheumatology, 2010
Anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide antibody (CCP-AB) are used for diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). It is still unknown if the extent of CCP-AB levels is useful to assess the disease activity or the individual follow-up as an individual activity parameter. We investigated 40 patients with a known RA who were positive for CCP-AB.

Rheumatoid Factor and Anti-CCP Titers in COVID-19

Infectious Disorders - Drug Targets
Introduction: The mechanisms of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) remain not fully elucidated. The present study aimed to trace the presence of autoantibodies among COVID-19 patients and to determine the association between COVID-19 and these antibodies.

Whither Autoimmunity: The Lessons of Anti-CCP and B cell Depletion

Clinical Reviews in Allergy & Immunology, 2007
The most difficult component to understand in autoimmune disease has been the issue of causation. In contrast, there have been enormous gains in improved diagnostics as well as improved therapy. Indeed, the use of biologics have changed the profile of numerous autoimmune diseases. In this issue, we discuss two such aspects.

Anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide (anti-CCP) antibodies with brucellosis

Rheumatology International, 2013
Anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide (anti-CCP) was positive in 11.5 % and rheumatoid factor was positive in 8.8 % of the patients with Brucella. After a comparative evaluation, we have found out that there was not a statistical significance concerning the anti-CCP levels between the patients with brucellosis and healthy control.

Association of anti-CCP positivity with serum ferritin and DAS-28

Rheumatology International, 2009
Antibodies to cyclic citrullinated peptides (anti-CCP) are highly specific for the diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) with a marginal increased prediction of the disease. In this study, we aimed to investigate the relation of the presence of anti-CCP with clinical manifestations and disease activity in a cohort of RA patients.
