The problem of collision-avoidance at sea by means of radar is constantly under discussion in maritime circles within the U.S.S.R. This paper, and that of Captain Bukhanovski (Journal, 20, 247,), describe one direction of research that has been actively pursued in the Soviet Union. The device described was developed by the Central Scientific Research ...

A novel anti-collision scheme for RFID systems
2014 IEEE World Forum on Internet of Things (WF-IoT), 2014Because of low cost and easy-to-use feature for RFID cards, more and more operators adopt RFID technique to identify their goods. When there are many goods with RFID cards put together, collision happens when trying to identify each good from the other. Some tree-based schemes are proposed to solve this problem.

This contribution describes the basic concept and practical evaluation of a driver assistance system, which early detects dangerous overtaking maneuvers on two-lane rural roads and helps to prevent accidents. A fusion of video and radar data combines a high-precision detection of far objects with accurate lateral position and velocity estimates for ...

IDMA Based Anti-collision in RFID Networks
International Journal of Wireless Information Networks, 2013Even though object identification is its main objective, it is generally accepted that there are some technological challenges that should be addressed in order to exploit the full potential of RFID (Radio frequency identification). The anti-collision problem is one of them. Despite the different proposed methods, it still needs further study on how to

ICT Anti Collision Radar for Road Traffic
2007 IEEE 66th Vehicular Technology Conference, 2007The ICT radar is an information-communication technology system for early warning and collision avoidance on roads and motorways. This radar uses special sensor network, which - spanned over the moving vehicles and road obstacles - transmits automatically warning signals to the back of column and enables distant drivers to stop in time or to do such ...

Dynamic adjustment algorithm for tag anti-collision
2011 International Conference on Machine Learning and Cybernetics, 2011RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) is one of the key automatic identification technologies. Along with the large-scale application of RFID tags, the tag collision problem becomes more frequently and seriously affects RFID system performance. In this paper, according to the characteristic of disordered and successive tag ID number, we propose a ...

Optimized anti-collision techniques in RFID systems
2007 9th IFIP International Conference on Mobile Wireless Communications Networks, 2007RFID systems are widely used in many diverse applications at present. A development of anti-collision technique is one of the most important issues for tag identification. In this paper we present an analysis for computing the optimal parameter for tag-collision resolution problem based on the EPCglobal RFID protocol [6].

Design of Hash-Tree Anti-collision Algorithm
Third International Conference on Natural Computation (ICNC 2007) Vol V, 2007In RFID system, the problem of the collision between tags is a focus topic. The Hash-tree anti-collision algorithm was proposed in the paper, which adopted hash operation to allocate slots for tags and used tree searching method to identify collision tags in the queue of collision slots.

Parallel Splitting for RFID tag anti-collision
International Journal of Ad Hoc and Ubiquitous Computing, 2011In the Radio Frequency IDentification (RFID) system, the reader identifies tags by interrogating their IDs through a shared wireless communication channel. When multiple tags transmit their IDs to the reader simultaneously, collisions occur and the performance of tag identification degrades.

A new anti‐collision algorithm for RFID tag
International Journal of Communication Systems, 2013SUMMARYWe present a new radio frequency identification tag anti‐collision algorithm in this paper. The main idea of this algorithm is that we should find the collided bit at first, and every tag contains a register RC, which has length the same as the tag's ID length to store the conflict bit, then all the subsequent processing are based on the ...
