Integrated Clinical Trial and Molecular Profiling Reveals Immune Drivers of Chronic Hand Eczema

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
This study performed an unbiased molecular profiling of CHE patients across diverse etiologies to identify shared pathogenic drivers and evaluate the impact of IL‐4Rα blockade via dupilumab over 16 weeks. CHE shows a mixed immune signature involving type 1, 2, and 3 pathways with features of atopic dermatitis and psoriasis.

Using peri‐operative patient‐ and parent‐reported experience and outcome measures to identify paediatric postsurgical recovery trajectories: an observational cohort study

open access: yesAnaesthesia, EarlyView.
Summary Introduction Identifying postoperative pain trajectories and pre‐operative risk factors may support preventative measures and enhance pain management. We aimed to determine the feasibility of gathering peri‐operative data from families of children, describe their recovery trajectories and identify risk factors for high postsurgical pain ...

The Efficacy and Medium‐Term Patient‐Reported Outcomes Following Conversion From Sleeve Gastrectomy and Gastric Band to One Anastomoses Gastric Bypass: A Cohort Study

open access: yesANZ Journal of Surgery, EarlyView.
In this large single‐centre series, conversional one‐anastomosis gastric bypass was demonstrated to be safe and to deliver meaningful medium‐term weight loss with low morbidity after primary sleeve gastrectomy or gastric banding. While reflux was not universally resolved, patient‐reported satisfaction was high, and secondary enteroenterostomy provided ...
