Anti-glomerular basement membrane disease
Journal of The Egyptian Society of Nephrology and Transplantation, 2021Background Anti-glomerular basement membrane (GBM) disease is an autoimmune disorder defined by the presence of autoantibody directed against α3 chain of type IV collagen. It is clinically characterized by rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis and lung hemorrhage. Patients and methods

Goodpasture syndrome and anti-glomerular basement membrane disease
Clinical and Experimental Rheumatology, 2023Anti-glomerular basement membrane (anti-GBM) disease is a rare life-threatening small vessel vasculitis that typically affects the capillaries of kidneys and lungs, with most of patients developing rapidly progressive crescentic glomerulonephritis, and 40%-60% concomitant alveolar haemorrhage.

[Anti-glomerular basement membrane disease].
Revue medicale suisse, 2023Anti-glomerular basement membrane disease is a rare disease. In its classical presentation it associates rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis and diffuse alveolar hemorrhage, linked to the presence of antibodies targeting type IV collagen in the glomerular and alveolar basal membrane.

Anti‐glomerular basement membrane disease in Auckland
Internal Medicine Journal, 2012AbstractBackground: Anti‐glomerular basement membrane (GBM) antibody‐mediated disease is rare and classically presents with the syndrome of glomerulonephritis and pulmonary haemorrhage.Aim: This aim of this report was to determine the incidence, clinical features, management and outcomes of anti‐GBM disease in Auckland between 1998 and 2008.Methods:

Immunology of anti-glomerular basement membrane disease
Current Opinion in Nephrology and Hypertension, 2002Anti-glomerular basement membrane disease is a form of autoimmune glomerulonephritis often accompanied by lung haemorrhage. It is characterized by circulating and deposited antibodies that bind basement membrane components in the glomerulus and lung alveolus.

Anti-Glomerular Basement Membrane Disease
2016Anti-glomerular basement membrane disease is a severe autoimmune disease caused by autoantibodies against epitopes on alpha 3 chains of type IV collagen, found in the alveolar and glomerular basement membrane. It presents with renal failure often requiring dialysis and/or pulmonary symptoms due to alveolar hemorrhage that may be life threatening when ...

Coexistent Wegener's granulomatosis and anti-glomerular basement membrane disease
Human Pathology, 1987Wegener's granulomatosis and Goodpasture's syndrome represent two major causes of a pulmonary-renal syndrome. We describe the clinical course and morphologic features of a patient in whom pulmonary manifestations of Wegener's granulomatosis developed and were followed six months later by anti-glomerular basement membrane disease.
