Biomimetic Nanomedicine for Aging‐Impaired Bone Regeneration: From Microenvironmental Dysfunction to Precision Therapeutics

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, EarlyView.
Aging disrupts the cellular, immune, vascular, and neural processes required for bone regeneration. This review connects these pathological barriers with biomimetic nanomedicine design, highlighting strategies for cellular rejuvenation, immune modulation, vascular regeneration, and neuro–bone coupling.

Anti-HLA Antibodies in Lung Transplantation

open access: yesOBM Transplantation, 2017
(1) Background: Lung transplantation is an increasingly utilized treatment for end-stage lung disease. Scarcity of organ donors limiting transplantation underscores the importance of optimal histocompatibility testing approaches to facilitate organ allocation and avoid immunologic rejection.

Development of anti-idiotypic antibodies to HLA antigens during pregnancy

open access: yes, 1994
Thirty one pregnant women whose sera were initially positive for anti HLA antibodies were retested for lymphocytotoxicity 7-9 months after delivery. In the second testing 10 women were found to have lost the cytotoxic antibodies.

Autoantibodies to Joint‐Related Peptides Are Associated With Onset of Rheumatoid Arthritis in Presymptomatic Seronegative Individuals

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, EarlyView.
Objective To identify autoantibodies in presymptomatic individuals that associate with the onset of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and to distinguish early RA from osteoarthritis (OA), particularly in individuals lacking classic RA serologic markers. Methods We analyzed serum and plasma from three cohorts: presymptomatic individuals who later developed RA ...

Prevalence of non-HLA antibodies and their association with FIB-4 index-based fibrosis risk in pediatric liver transplant recipients with long-term graft survival (>10 years)

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology
BackgroundWhile donor-specific antibodies against human leukocyte antigens (HLA-DSA) are recognized contributors to allograft injury, non-HLA antibodies are increasingly implicated in solid-organ transplant rejection. However, evidence in pediatric liver

Analysis of platelet eluate for the elucidation of sensitization to HLA in kidney transplant candidate

open access: yesActa Scientiarum. Health Sciences, 2015
While a 42-year-old male patient was being prepared for deceased-donor renal transplantation, anti-HLA-A2 antibodies were detected in the serum by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method.

Preparation and Immune Response of Ant-idiotypic Monoclonal Antibodies to Anti HLA-A2.A28 Monoclonal Antibodies [PDF]

open access: yes
Model experiments using anti HLA monoclonal antibodies were performed to apply the immune response of anti-idiotypic antibodies to immunotherapy since anti-idiotypic antibodies are of interest in the investigation of a new immunomodulator for cancer ...

T cells, the Next Big Target in Axial Spondyloarthritis?

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, EarlyView.
Axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA) is a chronic inflammatory disease characterized by complex immune dysregulation, with T cells playing a central role in its pathogenesis. In this review, we synthesize current knowledge on diverse T cell subsets in axSpA, their pathogenic mechanisms, and emerging therapeutic strategies targeting these cells. We highlight
