Anti-Inflammatory Activity of Quinazolinoformazans
Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1990Eight substituted quinazolonoformazans were synthesized and evaluated for anti-inflammatory activity. The degree of protection provided by seven of these compounds, at a dose of 100 mg/kg, po, against carrageenin-induced edema in rat paw ranged from 26 to 57%.

Anti-inflammatory Activity Methods
2023The inflammatory process can be unleashed by a wide variety of biological, chemical, and physical factors, and arises to counteract these dangerous enemies. In case of failure by the organism to defeat these exogenous stimuli, a chronic inflammatory status occurs, hence potentially leading to several diseases.

Anti-Inflammatory Activity of Macrolide Antibiotics
The Journal of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics, 2000The effect of four macrolide antibiotics (roxithromycin, clarithromycin, erythromycin, and azithromycin) on the generation of some mediators and cytokines involved in the inflammatory process has been studied both in vivo and in vitro. Rat carrageenin pleurisy was used as a model of acute inflammation, and the macrolides were administered (10, 20, and ...

Anti-inflammatory activity ofElsholtzia splendens
Archives of Pharmacal Research, 2003Elsholtzia splendens Nakai has been used in North-East Asia as an ingredient of folk medicines for treating cough, headache and inflammation. The present investigation was carried out to establish its in vivo anti-inflammatory activity using several animal models of inflammation and pain. The 75% ethanol extract of the aerial part of E.

Anti-inflammatory activity of Sedum kamtschaticum
Journal of Ethnopharmacology, 2004Sedum kamtschaticum Fischer (Crassulaceae) has been used as a folk medicine in North-East Asia for treating inflammatory disorders. The present investigation was carried out to establish in vivo anti-inflammatory activity and cyclooxygenase-2 modulating activity of this plant material. The methanol extract of Sedum kamtschaticum significantly inhibited

Anti-inflammatory activity of ansamycins
Expert Review of Anti-infective Therapy, 2005Inflammation represents a complex biologic and biochemical process involving cells of the immune system and a plethora of biologic mediators in response to mechanical, chemical or infectious injuries. When mobilization of effector cells and molecules becomes excessive, the beneficial aspect of this response--to limit damage and promote healing, can be ...

Anti-Inflammatory Activity of 5,7-Dimethoxyflavone
Planta Medica, 1989The anti-inflammatory activity of 5,7-dimethoxyflavone (5,7-DMF) has been assessed. It was found to possess a comparable effect to aspirin on the rat paw edema model, and it showed no inhibition on cotton pellet-induced granuloma formation. On the rat pleurisy model, 5,7-DMF exhibited an antiexudative effect, interfered with leukocyte migration, and ...
