Anti-inflammatory activity of Echinops echinatus
Journal of Ethnopharmacology, 1989Anti-inflammatory studies were conducted on an ethanol extract of Echinops echinatus whole plant. The extract effectively inhibited the acute inflammation induced in rats by carrageenan, formaldehyde and adjuvant and the chronic arthritis induced by formaldehyde and adjuvant. The extract was more effective parenterally than orally. The toxicity studies

Anti-inflammatory activity of Lippia dulcis
Journal of Ethnopharmacology, 2005Lippia dulcis hexane and ethanol extracts were tested for its anti-inflammatory activity in several animal models. Hexane extract showed to be inactive, but the ethanol extract at doses of 400 mg/kg produced significant inhibition of carrageenan-induced paw oedema and reduced the weight of cotton pellet-induced granuloma, moreover, the topical ...

Local anti-inflammatory activity of Tamus communis
Journal of Ethnopharmacology, 1987The effects of an ethanol root extract of Tamus communis were documented on cotton pellet granuloma in rats. The inhibitory effect of the solvent-free extract (5-20 mg/pellet) on granuloma formation was comparable to that of reference drugs benzydamine HCl (5-20 mg/pellet) and hydrocortisone (5 mg/pellet).

Anti-inflammatory activity of ginsenoside ro.
Planta medica, 1990Ginsenoside Ro, an oleanane-type saponin has been screened for activity in experimental models of inflammation. Ginsenoside Ro (10,50, and 200 mg/kg, P. O.) inhibited an increase in vascular permeability in mice induced by acetic acid and reduced an acute paw edema in rats induced by compound 48/80 or carrageenin.
