Disparities in rate, triggers, and management in pediatric and adult cases of suspected drug‐induced anaphylaxis in Canada

open access: yesImmunity, Inflammation and Disease, 2018
Introduction Data is sparse on drug‐induced anaphylaxis (DIA) and there have not been studies assessing the differences in clinical characteristics and management of DIA between adults and children.

A Hydrogen Sulfide–Releasing Dynamic Hydrogel Modulates Coordinated Neurovascular, Immune, and Angiogenic Responses for Scar‐Suppressed Diabetic Wound Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ROS‐Responsive H2S Hydrogel (HAPPF) Coordinated Regeneration for High‐Quality Diabetic Wound Repair.A self‐regulating dynamic hydrogel is developed to deliver a fluorogenic H2S donor in response to excessive ROS. Released H2S acts as a master regulator to resolve chronic inflammation (M2 polarization), restore VEGF‐driven angiogenesis, and rebalance ...

Neostigmine interactions with non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
1. The common mechanism of action of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) is the inhibition of the enzyme cyclo-oxygenase (COX), however, this inhibition is not enough to completely account for the efficacy of these agents in several models of ...

TRANSDERMAL NON‐STEROIDAL ANTI‐INFLAMMATORY AGENTS

open access: yesInternational Journal of Clinical Practice, 1995
SUMMARY Concern over the scale of morbidity associated with the use of oral non‐steroidal anti‐inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), particularly in the elderly, has led to the development of alternative strategies for the relief of musculoskeletal and joint pain. One such is to explore the possibility of formulations that bypass the gastrointestinal tract that

Ubiquitination of ACSL4 by Parkin Suppresses Ferroptosis and Rescues Glucocorticoid‐Induced Bone Loss

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
GCs reduce Parkin, leading to ACSL4 accumulation and PUFA‐phospholipid‐driven ferroptosis in BMSCs, which impairs osteogenesis and promotes adipogenesis, causing GIOP. Parkin restoration (via OE‐Parkin or Parkin‐LNP@DSS6) ubiquitinates and degrades ACSL4, inhibiting ferroptosis, rescuing bone formation, and rescues GIOP bone loss.

Steroidal Glycosides of Cordyline australis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The n-butanol extract of aerial parts of Cordyline australis demonstrated antifungal activity. n-Butanol and chloroform extracts of dried or fresh leaves of C. australis afforded a steroidal glycoside, which was identified as 5α-spirost-25(27)-en-3β-ol 3-

Modulation of Cox-1, 5-, 12- and 15-Lox by popular herbal remedies used in southern Italy against psoriasis and other skin diseases. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Acanthus mollis (Acanthaceae), Achillea ligustica, Artemisia arborescens and Inula viscosa (Asteraceae) are used in Southern Italy against psoriasis and other skin diseases that occur with an imbalanced production of eicosanoids.

Molecular Dynamics‐Guided Sterol Engineering of mRNA‐Lipid Nanoparticles Reprograms Biodistribution and Enhances Spleen‐Selective Immunity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Sterol engineering enables precise control of mRNA lipid nanoparticles by tuning membrane organization. Replacing cholesterol with bile acid‐derived sterols redirects protein expression from the liver to the spleen. Notably, CA‐20 LNP enhances antigen‐specific immune responses while exhibiting a favorable safety profile, highlighting sterols as a ...

Design, synthesis and biological evaluation of hybrid nitroxide-based non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Dual-acting hybrid anti-oxidant/anti-inflammatory agents were developed employing the principle of pharmacophore hybridization. Hybrid agents were synthesized by combining stable anti-oxidant nitroxides with conventional non-steroidal anti-inflammatory ...

Autonomous AI‐Driven Design for Skin Product Formulations

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
This review presents a comprehensive closed‐loop framework for autonomous skin product formulation design. By integrating artificial intelligence‐driven experiment selection with automated multi‐tiered assays, the approach shifts development from trial‐and‐error to intelligent optimisation.
