Protective and Collision‐Sensitive Gel‐Skin: Visco‐Elastomeric Polyvinyl Chloride Gel Rapidly Detects Robot Collision by Breaking Electrical Charge Accumulation Stability

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
For safe human–robot collaboration (HRC), a protective and collision‐sensitive robot skin is proposed. The developed robot skin, named Gel‐Skin, is composed of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) gel, which is a functional material with impact absorption capability and tunable piezoresistive characteristics based on electrical charge‐accumulation.

Repeater jamming suppression method for pulse Doppler fuze based on identity recognition and chaotic encryption

open access: yesDefence Technology, 2021
Pulse Doppler (PD) fuze is widely used in current battlefield. However, with the threat of repeater jamming, especially digital radio frequency memory technology, the deficiency in the anti-repeater jamming of a traditional PD fuze increasingly emerges ...

Interference-Aware Cooperative Anti-Jamming Distributed Channel Selection in UAV Communication Networks

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2018
This paper investigates the cooperative anti-jamming distributed channel selection problem in UAV communication networks. Considering the existence of malicious jamming and co-channel interference, we design an interference-aware cooperative anti-jamming

Fast Reinforcement Learning for Anti-jamming Communications

open access: yes, 2020
This letter presents a fast reinforcement learning algorithm for anti-jamming communications which chooses previous action with probability $ $ and applies $ $-greedy with probability $(1- )$. A dynamic threshold based on the average value of previous several actions is designed and probability $ $ is formulated as a Gaussian-like function to guide

Engaging and strengthening youth through international community‐based research: Implementation and evaluation of an International Youth Advisory Board

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Community Psychology, EarlyView.
Abstract Youth advisory boards are ubiquitous in community‐based research, yet there is limited description of their development or direct benefits to participants within international research contexts. This convergent mixed‐method study describes and evaluates the design and implementation of a bilingual International Youth Advisory Board (IYAB) of ...

Deep reinforcement learning-empowered anti-jamming strategy aided by sample information entropy

open access: yesTongxin xuebao
For the deep reinforcement learning (DRL)-empowered intelligent jamming, an anti-jamming strategy aided by sample information entropy was proposed. Firstly, the anti-jamming strategy network and entropy prediction network were designed based on neural ...

Mitigating Jamming Attacks Using Energy Harvesting

open access: yes, 2019
The use of energy harvesting as a counter-jamming measure is investigated on the premise that part of the harmful interference can be harvested to increase the transmit power.

Do Influential Articles on the Genetics of Autism Show Evidence of Engagement With the Autistic Community?

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part B: Neuropsychiatric Genetics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Investigations into the etiology and genetic basis of autism continue to drive much autism research, yet reports are emerging of this research not aligning with priorities of autistic people. Engagement of autistic people in the research process is a key way to take their perspectives on board.

Genetics of Response to ECT, TMS, Ketamine and Esketamine

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part B: Neuropsychiatric Genetics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Treatment‐resistant mood disorders are often managed with intensive interventions that include electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), ketamine, and esketamine, but the role of genetics in clinical response to those interventions is yet to be clearly determined.

Cognitive Anti-Jamming Satellite-To-Ground Communications on NASA's SCaN Testbed [PDF]

open access: yes
Machine learning aided cognitive anti-jamming communications is designed, developed and demonstrated on a live satellite-to-ground link. A wideband autonomous cognitive radio (WACR) is designed and implemented as a hardware-in-the- loop (HITL) prototype.
