The RBR E3 ubiquitin ligase ARIH1, which is upregulated in colorectal cancer cells, promotes cell growth and metastasis and correlates with an unfavorable CRC prognosis. Mechanistically, ARIH1 catalyzes K63‐linked ubiquitination of PHB1, enhancing the interaction between PHB1 and Akt.

Social learning of prescribing behavior can promote population optimum of antibiotic use [PDF]
The rise and spread of antibiotic resistance causes worsening medical cost and mortality especially for life-threatening bacteria infections, thereby posing a major threat to global health. Prescribing behavior of physicians is one of the important factors impacting the underlying dynamics of resistance evolution.

Antibiotic treatment, duration of infectiousness, and disease transmission [PDF]
Humans, domestic animals, orchard crops, and ornamental plants are commonly treated with antibiotics in response to bacterial infection. By curing infectious individuals, antibiotic therapy might limit the spread of contagious disease among hosts. But an antibiotic`s suppression of within-host pathogen density might also reduce the probability that the

MAGEA6 Engages a YY1‐Dependent Transcription to Dictate Perineural Invasion in Colorectal Cancer
This study investigates the role of MAGEA6 in perineural invasion (PNI) in colorectal cancer (CRC). MAGEA6 promotes CRC invasiveness by inhibiting YY1 ubiquitination, enhancing CXCL1 secretion, and recruiting Schwann cells. These findings highlight the potential of targeting the MAGEA6/YY1/CXCL1 axis for therapeutic strategies against PNI and tumor ...

Trends of adverse drug reactions related-hospitalizations in Spain (2001-2006)
Background Adverse drug reactions (ADR) are a substantial cause of hospital admissions. We conducted a nationwide study to estimate the burden of hospital admissions for ADRs in Spain during a six-year period (2001-2006) along with the associated total ...
