A Microgel Platform Enables Site‐Specific Intestinal Delivery of Lactoferrin, Improving its Bioavailability for Targeted Alleviating Liver Injury and Colitis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work first time reports an eco‐friendly desert plant food‐based polysaccharide ASKP microgels which have intestinal site‐specific release properties which can achieve small‐intestine or colon targeting capability via different cross‐linking chemistry.

Heat Shock Protein 90: From Molecular Chaperone Function to Therapeutic Targeting in Malignancies

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this review, an integrated conceptual framework linking HSP90's molecular chaperone functions to its pathological roles in cancer is proposed. HSP90 serves as a central node that integrates oncogenic signaling, buffers proteotoxic stress, maintains cancer stem cell plasticity, and shapes tumor‐immune interactions, all of which converge to drive ...

De Novo Design of Membrane‐Targeting Antimicrobial Peptides Against Gram‐Negative Bacteria Using a Generative Artificial Intelligence Framework

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Antimicrobial resistance caused by Gram‐negative bacteria remains difficult to overcome due to the protective outer membrane. To address this challenge, a multi‐condition constrained generative AI framework, GenMTAMP is proposed for de novo membrane‐targeting antimicrobial peptide design by integrating physicochemical and spatial structure descriptors.

Evaluation of the Macrocyclic Antibiotic Vancomycin as a Chiral Selector for Capillary Electrophoresis

open access: yes, 1994
Vancomycin is one of a family of related macrocyclic glycopeptide antibiotics that were discovered by scientists at the Eli Lilly Company in the 1950s. It has been used to treat severe staphylococcal infections, particularly when bacterial resistance to ...

Surfaceome Reprogramming of Stemsomes Promotes Lung Cancer Targeting via Potentiated Receptor–Ligand Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a surfaceome‐reprogramming strategy for mutation‐independent lung cancer therapy by repurposing dexamethasone to prime mesenchymal stem cell‐derived nanovesicles. The engineered vesicles leverage multi‐valent interactions mediated by upregulated adhesion proteins, EPHA2, and NOTCH3.

Targeting DNGR‐1 with Fangchinoline Elevates Dendritic Cell Antigen Cross‐Presentation‐Mediated Antitumor Immunity in Melanoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Fangchinoline is identified as a small‐molecule DNGR‐1 modulator that enhances dendritic‐cell cross‐presentation of tumor antigens. By engaging DNGR‐1 and activating Syk–Nox2 signaling, it promotes phagosomal ROS, antigen escape, MHC‐I presentation, and CD8+ T‐cell priming, thereby strengthening antitumor immunity and sensitizing tumors to PD‐1 ...

Disseminated Marginal Zone Lymphoma in a Patient with Lyme Neuroborreliosis: A Case Report

open access: yesCase Reports in Oncology
Introduction: Lyme borreliosis has been associated with lymphoma, particularly cutaneous lymphomas. The literature is conflicted regarding the effect of antibiotic therapy in cutaneous marginal zone lymphomas (MZLs) in individuals with ...

Anti-retroviral activity of lavendamycin analogs

open access: yes, 1996
Lavendamycin, an aminoquinolinedione antibiotic is similar to streptonigrin, an antibiotic with known antiretroviral activity. Their applicability as drugs is limited due to their high toxicity to mammalian cells.
