Effect of Bovine Sperm‐Bound Antisperm Antibodies on Oviductal Binding Index

Reproduction in Domestic Animals, 2016
ContentsThis study was designed to test the hypothesis that sperm‐bound IgG and IgA decrease binding of bull spermatozoa to oviductal epithelial cells in vitro. Three ejaculates were cryopreserved from each of four antisperm antibody (ASA)‐negative satisfactory breeder bulls. Bulls were then immunized with autologous spermatozoa, and three ASA‐positive

Heart-Reactive Antibody: An Index of Cardiac Rejection in Human Heart Transplantation

Circulation, 1970
Indirect immunofluorescent techniques used for detection of heart-reactive antibody have been used in both human and experimental cardiac transplantation. Definite evidence is presented which demonstrates the presence of circulating heart-reactive antibody preceding clinical or laboratory evidence of cardiac rejection.

Anti-JC virus antibody index changes in rituximab-treated multiple sclerosis patients

Journal of Neurology, 2018
Rituximab, a monoclonal antibody to CD20, is an effective treatment for relapsing remitting multiple sclerosis (MS) reducing relapse rate by at least 50% over time. Although the mechanism for this clinical benefit is unclear, rituximab depletes circulating B cells, which can perform antigen presentation and stimulation of T cells.

Terminal latency index in polyneuropathy with IgM paraproteinemia and anti‐MAG antibody

Muscle & Nerve, 2001
AbstractCriteria for the diagnosis of chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP) are met by the polyneuropathy associated with immunoglobulin M (IgM) paraproteinemia and anti‐myelin–associated glycoprotein (MAG) antibody (MAG‐CIDP). However, MAG‐CIDP differs from other types of CIDP, mainly in its poorer response to treatment. The utility

Determination of proliferation index in neoplasms using different Ki‐67 equivalent antibodies

APMIS, 2003
Paraffin sections from 23 tumours were immunohistochemically stained with the following four Ki‐67 equivalent antibodies: monoclonal MIB‐1 (DAKO), monoclonal MM1 (Novocastra), polyclonal NCL‐Ki‐67p (Novocastra), and polyclonal Rah Ki‐67 (DAKO). Ki‐67 labelling indices were determined by counting in exactly the same area in each case.

Relevance of the antibody index to diagnose Lyme neuroborreliosis among seropositive patients

Neurology, 2007
No consensual criteria exist to diagnose neuroborreliosis. The intrathecal anti-Borrelia antibody index (AI) is a necessary criterion to diagnose neuroborreliosis in Europe, but not in the United States. Previous studies to determine the diagnostic value of the AI found a sensitivity ranging from 55% to 80%. However, these studies included only typical

Usefulness of MIB1 monoclonal antibody in assessing the proliferative index in human bladder carcinoma: comparison with Ki-67 antibody

Histopathology, 1994
The reactivity of MIB1 antibody on routinely processed paraffin sections was compared with that of Ki-67 antibody on frozen sections of 80 transitional cell carcinomas of the bladder. The percentage of labelled cells was expressed as the labelling index.

Thyroid stimulating antibody: an index of thyroid stimulation in Graves' disease?

Acta Endocrinologica, 1987
Abstract. Early (20 min) thyroid radio-iodine uptake (ERU) and thyroid-stimulating antibodies (TSab) were determined in 27 untreated unselected patients with Graves' disease at the time of diagnosis. In 21 subjects the same tests were further performed in parallel during combined carbimazole-L-T3 therapy (mean duration of follow-up: 10.8 ± 5.8 months ...
