Idiotypic characterization of antibody-induced antibody responses

open access: yesImmunobiology, 1982
Anti-idiotypic antisera were produced in syngeneic (C57BL/6) mice against a monoclonal anti-Dextran B512 (Dex) antibody (38-13). In radioimmunoassays, anti-idiotypic antibodies were shown to react with the homologous idiotype, while failing to recognize another monoclonal anti-Dex antibody, independently derived from C57BL/6 mice (D-16).

Molecular Lipopolysaccharide Di-Vaccine Protects from Shiga-Toxin Producing Epidemic Strains of Escherichia coli O157:H7 and O104:H4

open access: yesVaccines, 2022
Background: Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli (STEC) O157:H7 and O104:H4 strains are important causative agents of food-borne diseases such as hemorrhagic colitis and hemolytic–uremic syndrome, which is the leading cause of kidney failure and death ...

Fitness of B-Cell Responses to SARS-CoV-2 WT and Variants Up to One Year After Mild COVID-19 – A Comprehensive Analysis

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2022
ObjectiveTo comprehensively evaluate SARS-CoV-2 specific B-cell and antibody responses up to one year after mild COVID-19.MethodsIn 31 mildly symptomatic COVID-19 participants SARS-CoV-2-specific plasmablasts and antigen-specific memory B cells were ...

Immune Response of a Heterologous mRNA-1273 Second-Dose Immunization after a First Dose of ChadOx1 against SARS-CoV-2: A Cross-Sectional Study

open access: yesVaccines, 2022
Heterologous vaccination regimens could contribute to broadening vaccination coverage. To date, there is little evidence on the effectiveness of a combination of adenoviral COVID-19 vaccines with a second dose of mRNA vaccines.

Combining supervised machine learning with statistics reveals differential gene expression patterns related to energy metabolism in the jejuna of chickens divergently selected for antibody response to sheep red blood cells

open access: yesPoultry Science, 2023
: Since the 1970s, 2 lines of White Leghorn chickens, HAS and LAS, have been continuously divergently selected for 5-day postinjection antibody titer to injection with sheep red blood cells (SRBC).

Correlation of SARS-CoV-2 Neutralization with Antibody Levels in Vaccinated Individuals

open access: yesViruses, 2023
Neutralizing antibody titers are an important measurement of the effectiveness of vaccination against SARS-CoV-2. Our laboratory has set out to further verify the functionality of these antibodies by measuring the neutralization capacity of patient ...

Neutralizing antiviral antibody responses

open access: yes, 2001
Neutralizing antibodies are evolutionarily important effectors of immunity against viruses. Their evaluation has revealed a number of basic insights into specificity, rules of reactivity (tolerance), and memory—namely, (1) Specificity of neutralizing antibodies is defined by their capacity to distinguish between virus serotypes; (2) B cell reactivity ...

Heterogeneous Antibody Responses in Tuberculosis [PDF]

open access: yesInfection and Immunity, 1998
ABSTRACT Antibody responses during tuberculosis were analyzed by an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay with a panel of 10 protein antigens of Mycobacterium tuberculosis . It was shown that serum immunoglobulin G antibodies were produced against a variety of M.
