A neutralizable dimeric anti-thrombin aptamer with potent anticoagulant activity in mice

open access: yesMolecular Therapy: Nucleic Acids, 2023
Heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (HIT) is a complication caused by administration of the anticoagulant heparin. Although the number of patients with HIT has drastically increased because of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), the currently used thrombin

Selectivity of Saflufenacil for Sweet Sorghum and Potential use of Na-Bentazon as a Safener [PDF]

open access: yesPlanta Daninha, 2015
The objective of this study was to assess the selectivity herbicide saflufenacil for two sweet sorghum hybrids, when sprayed in preemergence and postemergence, besides the use of Na-bentazon as a 'safener' for saflufenacil.

Structure and far-infrared edge modes of quantum antidots at zero magnetic field [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Rev. B58,(1998) 6732, 1998
We have investigated edge modes of different multipolarity sustained by quantum antidots at zero magnetic field. The ground state of the antidot is described within a local density functional formalism. Two sum rules, which are exact within this formalism, have been derived and used to evaluate the energy of edge collective modes as a function of the ...

Analytical and Monte Carlo study of two antidots in magnetic nanodisks with vortex-like magnetization [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Applied Physics 101 (2007) 034310, 2006
How stable vortex-like magnetization in magnetic nanodisks with small aspect ratio ($L/R<<1$) is affected by two antidots is investigated analytically and by Monte Carlo simulations. For suitable ranges of the physical parameters this vortex presents bistable states when pinned around the antidots.

Spectator Behavior in a Quantum Hall Antidot with Multiple Bound Modes [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Rev. Lett. 104, 196802 (2010)., 2010
We theoretically study Aharonov-Bohm resonances in an antidot system with multiple bound modes in the integer quantum Hall regime, taking capacitive interactions between the modes into account. We find the spectator behavior that the resonances of some modes disappear and instead are replaced by those of other modes, due to internal charge relaxation ...

Spin waves in periodic antidot waveguide of complex base [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We consider the planar magnonic waveguide with a periodic sequence of antidots forming zig-zag pattern, where two neighboring antidots are shifted towards the opposite edges of the waveguide. This system has a complex base with two antidots in one unit cell. The Brillouin zone is here two-times narrower than the Brillouin zone for the waveguide without

Enfrentamiento inicial de las intoxicaciones por medicamentos orales en el servicio de urgencia

open access: yesARS Medica, 2023

The influence of individual lattice defects on the domain structure in magnetic antidot lattices [PDF]

open access: yesJounal of Applied Physics 113, 103907 (2013), 2012
We numerically and experimentally investigate the influence of single defects consisting of a missing antidot on the spin configurations in rectangular permalloy antidot lattices. The introduction of such lattice defects leads to the nucleation of complex domain structures after the decay of a saturating magnetic field.

Toxic Effects of Amanitins: Repurposing Toxicities toward New Therapeutics

open access: yesToxins, 2021
The consumption of mushrooms has become increasingly popular, partly due to their nutritional and medicinal properties. This has increased the risk of confusion during picking, and thus of intoxication.

Vortex configurations and critical parameters in superconducting thin films containing antidot arrays: Nonlinear Ginzburg-Landau theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Using the non-linear Ginzburg-Landau (GL) theory, we obtain the possible vortex configurations in superconducting thin films containing a square lattice of antidots. The equilibrium structural phase diagram is constructed which gives the different ground-state vortex configurations as function of the size and periodicity of the antidots for a given ...
