Slow Spin Relaxation in Two-Dimensional Electron Systems with Antidots [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Rev. B 69, article 073310, 4 pages (2004), 2003
We report a Monte Carlo investigation of the effect of a lattice of antidots on spin relaxation in twodimensional electron systems. The spin relaxation time is calculated as a function of geometrical parameters describing the antidot lattice, namely, the antidot radius and the distance between their centers.

Severe digoxin intoxication: A case report of the use of digoxin-specific Fab antibody fragments

open access: yesZdravniški Vestnik, 2023
Digoxin is a cardiac glycoside that has been used for several decades to treat heart failure and atrial fibrillation. Several doctors prescribe it to their patients, although it is not the first choice for either condition.

Mycotoxins and antidotes of herbal, binding and enzymatic nature [PDF]

open access: yesNovel Research in Microbiology Journal, 2022
Mycotoxins represent a potential risk to humans and animals. Under certain ecosystems; such as high humidity and temperature, and poor storage conditions, the mycotoxins are released and leaked into the agricultural produce, mainly crops such as ...

Mechanism of Cyanide Toxicity and Efficacy of its Antidotes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
This paper attempts to review the various antidotes available for countering cyanide threat in the light of the toxicity associated with it. It also critically evaluates the drawbacks and advantages of these antidotes for their therapeutic and/or ...

A DFT study on the electronic and magnetic properties of triangular graphene antidot lattices [PDF]

open access: yesEur. Phys. J. B 91, 308 (2018), 2018
We explore the effect of antidot size on electronic and magnetic properties of graphene antidot lattices from first-principles calculations. The spin-polarized density of states, band gap, formation energy and the total magnetization of two different equilateral triangular and right triangular antidots with zigzag and mixed zigzag-armchair edges are ...

Dialectic Antidotes to Critics of the Technology Acceptance Model: Conceptual, Methodological, and Replication Treatments for Behavioural Modelling in Technology-Mediated Environments

open access: yesAustralasian Journal of Information Systems, 2018
The technology acceptance model (TAM) is a prominent and parsimonious conceptual lens that is often applied for behavioural modelling in technology-mediated environments. However, TAM has received a great deal of criticism in recent years.

Paravasation with cyclophosphamide - Case report of tissue necrosis in a patient with primary breast cancer [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Background: Paravasation is a rare but severe complication of treatment with cytotoxic agents. Some anticancer drugs are considered to be of high toxicity (vesicant), some are merely irritant, and some are regarded as nearly non-toxic to healthy tissue ...

Magnetotransport in antidot arrays [PDF]

open access: yesSurface Science, 1994
We study magnetotransport in lateral two- dimensional superlattices with periods on the order of 100 nm. Pronounced low-field transport anomalies reflect the interplay of two characteristic lengths of the system, the cyclotron radius {\it R$_{c}$} and the period {\it a}. Measurements at very low temperatures reveal quantum oscillations, periodic in the

Protective Effect on Eucalyptus Plants and Signal Grass Control with a Tank Mixture of Glyphosate and Liquid fertilizer [PDF]

open access: yesPlanta Daninha, 2017
: What is expected from an effective antidote, applied with an herbicide, is that it protects crops from damages by the herbicide without reducing its action on weeds.
