A Polar Topology Network Induces Elastic Stiffening in Ferroelectric Oxide Superlattices

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
The periodicity in BiFeO3/SrTiO3 superlattices tunes the system into a dense, elastically constrained polar texture state. This topology‐rich regime reveals a collective mechanical response in which interactions among polar topological defects restrict local deformations, producing a pronounced elastic stiffening.

Crucial Role of Magnetic Dipole and Anomalous Field Dependence in NiPS3

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Torque magnetometry on the prototypical 2D anisotropic magnet NiPS3, together with relativistic density functional theory calculations, uncovers a distinct intrinsic magnetic anisotropy. The characteristic torque pattern, driven by a high‐field spin‐flop transition, reveals its magnetic response beyond standard XY or XXZ models and highlights the ...

A Comprehensive Multimodal Study of La0.45Sr0.45TiO3 Structure as Matrix for the Exsolution Process: From the Average to the Local Scale

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
We present a multimodal, multiscale study of La0.45Sr0.45TiO3 combining experimental and computational approaches to probe its local structure. The results reveal A‐site ordering along [001] and loss of centrosymmetry driven by electrostatic effects.

Magnetic Structure of the High‐TN Antiferromagnet La0.5Sr3.5Fe3O7.5F2.6: A Temperature‐Dependent Mößbauer Spectroscopy and Neutron Diffraction Study

open access: yesZeitschrift für anorganische und allgemeine Chemie, EarlyView.
La0.5Sr3.5Fe3O7.5F2.6, a rare n = 3 Ruddlesden–Popper oxyfluoride, exhibits robust antiferromagnetism across a wide temperature range from 1.7 to 470 K. Temperature‐dependent neutron diffraction reveals an orthorhombic nuclear and a monoclinic magnetic structure, while Mößbauer spectroscopy shows persistent short‐range magnetic order up to 525 K.
